I'll Be At Your Call
I wrote this one for my BFF Kenshin. ^__^ Luv ya always!
Together we stand,
Divided we fall.
Whenever you need me,
I'll be at your call.
The pain and the tears,
Have all been just fine.
Cause now I've got you,
Now you are mine.
Our laughter and jokes,
Our teases and tricks,
Will help us through things,
Even time cannot fix.
Our hearts have now shown us,
What is actually true.
We're bound together,
Stuck fast just like glue.
We could never leave,
No matter how hard we try.
I already know this,
The question is why?
Why do I come back,
Time after time?
Why can't I think,
Of just one more rhyme?
Questions like these.
Their answers are hidden.
They will come to us someday,
Unseen and unbidden.
When finally, finally,
We've conquered the world.
And come home victorious,
Banners unfurled.
When we're too old to move,
And just sit on our porch.
Our friendship will shine,
And burn like a torch.
We'll finally know,
Why we weathered the storm.
Why we each kept the other,
Though our hearts were torn.
It'll take us a lifetime,
But what else have we got?
For I'll never leave your side,
Never have to be sought.
