InuYasha is a half demon or sometimes called a half-breed. He is as strong as a demon. However, on the night of the new moon he changes into a full-blooded human. Kikyo sealed InuYasha to the God Tree after he attempted to steal the Shikon no Tama. Fifty years passed and Kagome released him from the tree. At first InuYasha thought that Kagome was Kikyo, but then he realized that she wasn’t Kikyo. InuYasha wants the jewel to turn into a full-blooded demon. At first InuYasha hates Kagome, but slowly he comes to like her even though they fight almost every hour of the day. Most of the fights end up with Kagome winning once she calls out her special word, SIT!
Appearance: InuYasha is medium height with long silver hair that reaches to about his hips. And don’t forget InuYasha’s trademark ears. He has amber/golden eyes and long, sharp teeth and claws. However, his appearance changes when he becomes a human. His hair color becomes black and his cute ears disappear along with his sharp teeth and claws. No matter what form he is in he usually/always wears his red, fire rat robes and the necklace that Keade placed around his neck to keep him from destroy the village. The necklace helps Kagome control his short-tempered attitude by using her special word (Sit or sit boy for those of you that skip the paragraph above).
Personality: InuYasha can be very arrogant, stubborn, short-tempered, and selfish, but he is very protective of his friends even though he doesn’t show it all of the time. His nice and kind side comes out more when he is in his human form. When InuYasha transforms into a full-blooded demon (when he doesn’t have the Tetsusaiga and his life in jeopardy) he is ruthless and a bloodthirsty monster.
Family & Friends: InuYasha’s family contains his mother who was a full-blooded human, his father who was a full-blooded dog demon, and his older, full-blooded demon brother Sesshomaru. InuYasha was in love with Kikyo before she sealed him to the God Tree. Although he can be arrogant and selfish he managed to attract a couple of friends after Kagome broke Kikyo’s seal on him. His new friends included Kagome, Shippo even though they fight a lot, Myoga (kind of), Sango, and the perverted monk Miroku.
