Episode 001
The Girl Who Overcame Time
-The Boy Who Was Just Overcome
Inuyasha appears in the village and steals the Shikon to Tama in hopes
of becoming a full demon. Kikyo points shoots her arrow at Inuyasha, pinning
him to the Goshinboku. The jewel he was holding escapes from his grip as
he loses consciousness. Kikyo is fatally wounded and she tells her younger
sister to burn the jewel with her body when she dies, so no other evil-doers
can get a hold of it.
The scene changes to the modern times. Kagome explains the origins
of her family and the history of the shrine where she lives. The next day,
she hears from her brother that their cat got lost near the Hidden Well
of the shrine. She finds the cat but, all of a sudden, the entrance to
the sealed well breaks open and something drags her into the well, asking
her for the Shikon to Tama. As Kagome tries to shake her off, a mysterious
light shines from her hand, pushing away the monster. When she climbs out
of the well, she's somewhere totally different from where she entered.
The villagers find her and tie her up but Kaede, the high priestess
of the village, lets her free. She realizes that she is in in a different
time period, Sengoku Jidai. The centipede monster returns and follows Kagome
who starts running in the direction of the well. On the way, Kagome meets
Inuyasha, who keeps calling her Kikyo. The monster bites the Shikon to
Tama out from Kagome's body and swallows it, making itself even stronger.
Inuyasha tells her to free him from Kikyo's arrow, so that he
can kill the monster. Kagome, with no other choice, frees him. Inuyasha
kills the monster easily but after doing so, he demands the Shikon to Tama
from Kagome.
Episode 002
Seekers of The Sacred Jewel
Inuyasha chases after Kagome for the Jewel. Kaede puts a magical rosary
around Inuyasha's neck and Kagome says the word, "Sit!" to hold him down.
Everytime she says that word, Inuyasha falls face-down on the ground.
Kaede tells Kagome that she's the reincarnation of Kikyo since the
Shikon no Tama was found in her body. She tells her that she has to protect
the Shikon no Tama from Youkai and even humans who have evil minds.
Kagome is attacked by a group of people and she is taken away
to see their boss. The boss demands her for the Shikon no Tama. She throws
her Shikon no Tama outside, thinking that it would make him stop chasing
her. However, he still tries to attack her.
Inuyasha rescues Kagome, and explains to her that it was the work of
a corpse crow, who nests in a corpse's heart and uses it to fight. The
crow escapes but takes the jewel with it. Kagome tries to kill it with
a bow and arrow. Unfortunately, Kagome does not succeed in shooting down
the bird. The crow swallows the jewel and its body grows bigger.
Inuyasha uses his claws to break it into pieces. Pieces of the
crow, and the child that it held, both drop into the river. Kagome saves
the drowning child but the crow's foot remains attached to his back. The
crow regenerates again by piecing itself back together. Using this ability
of the crow as an advantage, Kagome attaches the foot piece to an arrow
and shoots it. As expected, the arrow flies directly at the crow because
it is drawn by the crow's foot. The crow breaks into pieces but so does
the Shikon no Tama.
Inuyasha and Kagome begin to search for the Shikon no Tama where
the crow was taken down, but they only find one shard.
Episode 003
Down the Rabbit Hole and Back Again
Kaede tells Inuyasha and Kagome that they must team up to gather the
shard of the Shikon no Tama. Kagome makes the decision to go back home,
though the well, after Inuyasha makes her angry by telling her that he
can search for it without her help.
Kaede is alerted of villagers being controlled by strands of
hair. On the way back to the well, Kagome meets Yura, the youkai controlling
the hair. Yura steals the Kagome's piece of jewel but when she tries to
kill her, Kagome falls in the well, disappearing into her own world.
Kaede and Inuyasha encounters the villagers being controlled. In the
fight, Kaede is wounded so she asks Inuyasha to get Kagome's help. Kagome
is able to see Yura's strands of hair.
Kagome arrives back in her own world greeted by her family members
who are confused about where she has been all this time.
Episode 004
Yura of the Demon Hair
Kagome's family discusses whether Kagome's really telling the
truth about the other dangerous world beyond the well. Her grandfather
decides to put an end to that by sticking on some paper seals and pounding
some nails on the well's entrance.
Inuyasha discovers that she disappeared through the well and
decides to go after her. He ends up in her dining room, surprising her
family, especially Kagome's grandfather who believed his seals would work
against Inuyasha. Inuyasha tries to drag her back into the well. Her mother,
extremely surprised and serious, asks him if his ears are real. ^_^
Kagome realizes that Yura's hair followed Inuyasha to her own
world, putting her whole family in danger. She makes the decision to go
back and defeat this demon. Inuyasha gives her his red robe made of the
fur of the fire rat to protect her in the fight.
Inuyasha gets help from Kagome to dodge the strings of hair (since
she's the only one who can see it) and they finally meet Yura. The true
power of Inuyasha red fur robe armor is revealed when Yura throws her demon
flames at Kagome. Thanks to the robe, she survives the fire without a scratch.
Inuyasha attempts numerous times to kill Yura but does not succeed. He
ends up getting stabbed by Yura's sword. Without his robe, the sword was
able to easily penetrate through. Inuyasha even uses one of his special
attacks, the Hijin Ketsusou but he still does not manage to kill her. Kagome
sees that Yura's only weak spot is the red skull that she always carries
around. She gets closer to it and breaks it using the tip of the arrow
that she had on hand. Yura's form disappears and peace is restored at last.
It appears that Yura's original form was a comb that was used
to comb the hair of dead people.
Inuyasha calls her by her name at the end of this episode, meaning
this experience actually got them a little bit closer than before :D
