Excel Saga is a quarky series to say the least. It is a series that pokes fun at just about everything. From replaying a popular scene from a past hit anime like Cowboy Bebop to preaching like Yoda from the Star Wars universe, Excel Saga will definitely have something that will make you laugh.

I'll be the first to admit that episode 1 was hard to swallow. I usually don't watch an episode again immediately after it ends, but I had to in this situation. It wasn't because I thought it was visually amazing or because the storyline was so fresh that it had to be revisited, but because I simply didn't know what in the world was going on. Trust me, you will be greatly rewarded if you manage to get past the first episode. I must still warn that Excel is not for everyone. I only recommend it if you are looking for something offbbeat, refreshing, and funny.

The final volume, like most of the series stays true to its offbeat style. An alien invasion takes place in less than 5 minnutes. All of this is happening as Excel continues to be blinded by her love for Ilpalazzo. Will the a final rejection harm Excel's very own existence? I dunno. You'll have to watch it for yourself. Oh, and the final episode borders a hentai. Definitely not for everyone.
