Megaman: The Power Fighters

Producer: Capcom
System: Arcade, Playstation 2, GameCube
Year: 1996

Swift on the heels of its arcade predecessor, The Power Battle, Power Fighters is even bigger and better than before.

Wily's still rampaging around, but that's not all. Dr. Light has lost some very special upgrade parts, and Roll is missing as well. Choosing between Megaman, Protoman, Bass, and Duo, our newcomer to the series, introduced in MM8, you must battle more of Wily's robot masters to straighten everything out.

The graphics and sound are very similar to Power Battle, which is a good thing.

Our four playable characters now have slightly different moves than in The Power Battle, where they played very similar for the most part. For example, Bass can perform a mid-air dash while Duo can shoulder charge. Once again, though, you have three courses, each with a different lineup of robot masters to fight.

The Power Fighters was an even more rare find in the arcades than its predecessor. Again, though, Capcom released it on the Anniversary Collection, so there's no excuses for not playing this awesome game anymore :)
