Season 1

The Beginning

RM Appearances:

(Cutman and Gutsman are in every episode, so I'm not going to mention them each time)

Synopsis:

This first episode is kind of a story within a story. Dr. Wily takes over an airport and Megaman is seriously injured while trying to fight him off. While Dr. Light fixes Megaman, we go into an origins story, but it's a bit off from what we may remember from the games. Here are some of the differences:

* As I mentioned before, this episode claims that Wily built Protoman, but a later episode says Dr. Light made him. That small robot that Light and Wily built together resembles Protoman, sans the visor and scarf, but he can't be the final Protoman since we don't see Wily run off with him later, he only leaves the lab carrying the blueprints.

* In the games, Dr. Wily left Dr. Light after they made Rock, Roll, and the robot masters. Here, Wily leaves well before Light starts on Rock.

* Dr. Light only shows Cutman, Gutsman, and Iceman to Rock and Roll, implying that Dr. Wily built Elecman, Fireman, and Bombman.

Episode Script

Electric Nightmare

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Wily plants a device on the power grid allowing him to control every electrical appliance connected to the grid. A rather wierd episode, which has a few glaring plotholes: 1) How can Wily control things that aren't even plugged in (like hotdog stands and buses), 2) How can it make appliances fly, and 3) Why the heck does he want to control them anyway?! Well, the episode wasn't all bad. Wily's spy was a decent plot device, and this was Pharaohman's only appearence in the series, so it had its good points.

Episode Script

The Big Shake

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

After a wave of powerful earthquakes throughout the city, Megaman quickly discovers that Wily is causing them (suprised, huh?). But his progress in stopping Wily is hampered by a homing transmitter planted on him, allowing Wily to stay one step ahead of him. All in all, one of my favorite episodes. It had a decent amount of action and little painful dialogue.

Episode Script

Mega Pinnochio

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Megaman rescues a scientist named Dr. Petto, who claims that he can turn Megaman into a human. In reality, however, Petto was built by Wily, who uses the opportunity to install a telepathic mind control chip into Megaman so he can gain total control over him. Yeah, the whole turning robots into humans deal seems kind of corny, and you may wonder why Megaman would want to be human, when he seems to possess all the emotions humans have anyways. But it still wasn't a bad episode. I liked how Wily tried to manipulate Megaman's mind so he would think he was experiencing human emotion, like fear and pity. Especially amusing was how Megaman repeated the "mushy und tingly" line. :)

Episode Script

20,000 Leaks Under the Sea

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Wily attempts to take over a deep-sea mining colony to gain control over a new super-ore that he's discovered. Megaman rushes off to stop Wily, but the evil scientist just might have an ace up his sleeve that could stop Megaman and Dr. Light once and for all...This was a pretty good episode for the most part. If there's one thing I didn't like, it was how they messed up Diveman (another favorite robot master of mine) completely. In contrast, however, Waveman turned out great.

Episode Script

Robosaur Park

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

A new Jurassic Park-style theme park has opened, with robot dinosaurs created by Dr. Light. Wily and his robots sneak in, however, and reprogram the robo-saurs to be violent and hostile. This turns out to be merely a diversion, however, for Wily to attain his true goal; spreading a virus that turns robots into mindless apes, which are easy to control. An so-so episode overall, except the whole robots turning into apes deal was just plain silly.

Episode Script

The Incredible Shrinking Megaman

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Wily's robots break into a museum and steal a set of rare crystals used to power Wily's shrink ray. He plans to use it to shrink down major cities, then auction them off to the highest bidder. Megaman is also shrunk down and is going to have to stop Wily while he and Rush are pint-sized. Another decent episode; I have no real complaints about it.

Episode Script

The Megaman in the Moon

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Wily hijacks a space shuttle so he can gain access to a tremendous solar-powered laser on the moon. Once aquiring it, he plans to blackmail the world into surrendering or else he'll use the laser to burn its cities to the ground. Yet another pretty good episode.

Episode Script

Bot Transfer

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Light is heading to a conference for all of the world's top scientists. Wily, however, plans to crash the party with his new transport chambers. These devices allow him to not only beam his robots from chamber to chamber, but can also cause robots to switch bodies. After luring Megaman into a trap, Wily uses the chambers to swap Megaman and Snakeman's bodies. That means Megaman will have to stop Wily as Snakeman. A interesting concept, making this another good episode that had little wrong with it.

Episode Script

Ice Age

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Wily kidnaps a scientist named Dr. Zero who is known for his super-freezing research. Wily uses this technology to create gigantic glaciers to drive the leaders out of cities, allowing Wily to step in and take control. This episode certainly had it's ups & downs. It had some excellent moments, such as the action scenes in general as well as Iceman's rivalry with Airman (though it would make more sense to me if he were rivals with another ice-based robot master, such as Blizzardman or Freezeman). I just have to wonder about those three juvenile delinquents that Megaman and Roll are babysitting...Well, I suppose Megaman has to find something to do when he isn't beating up robots and stealing their weapons.

Cold Steel

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Dr. Wily invents a type of music that hypnotizes those who listen to it. He then dresses some of his robots up as a rock band called Cold Steel in order to spread the mesmorizing music. Dr. Light is also brought under the music's control. Wily eventually plans on completing an enormous radio tower that will broadcast the music around the world. While this episode was alright, there somehow didn't seem to be that much to it. Maybe it just seemed like there was mostly a lot of dialogue and not enough action, which made it really drag in some parts. Oh, well. I still enjoyed seeing Geminiman in his only episode.

Future Shock

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

When Dr. Wily attempts to steal Dr. Light's new time machine, Megaman takes it into the future to look for Dr. Light, who he mistakenly thought was trapped in time. Instead he finds that because he's in the future now, Wily got to take over the past, and still seems to be in control of most of the world. Another really good episode; it was cool seeing the world with Wily in command, although I would've expected to see more of his robot masters running around, rather than just genaric police-bots.

The Strange Island of Dr. Wily

RM Appearances:

Synopsis:

Wily discovers a buried tribe of odd stone creatures on an uncharted island. He builds a device that will allow him control over them, but the machine goes bonkers, causing the creatures to go out of control. Now we end up with one of the more cliched plot devices in most games and anime and whatnot: the bad guys end up joining forces with the good guys to battle a common enemy. Well, it was still a great episode. It was nice seeing Megaman and Protoman helping each other out for once rather than trying to beat the snot out of one another. My only problem with this episode was Woodman's retarded "Welcome to your doom, jerkheads" line.
