~*Chapter 5*~
“I Love you so much, and don’t you ever forget that ok?”
“I hate you, you lied to me! You… don’t come near me ever again!”
“You remember you called
our child a mistake!”
“I love the man he used to be, not the man he is now.”
“Daddy.... Why did you do this?
Why did you hurt my mommy? Don’t you love us?”
“Who are you? Your not my father, I’ve never had one, why should I
have one now?”
“Higher daddy!” She yelled while laughing, “I Love you daddy.”
“Don’t touch us, I want you to stay away from her you hear me,
stay away!”
Justin
sat up sweating and looked at the clock. It was only two a.m. and he was
already up. He felt horrible, was this dream trying to revile his guilty
conscience? It was definitely bothering
him that he most likely would never know this child. Issabell was a beautiful
little girl. She had long silky brown hair and those beautiful brown eyes like
her mothers. Her smile could light up the world just like her mothers. She had
a really light complexion and she was full of life. He looked over his shoulder
at a sleeping Christina and walked out onto the balcony. It didn’t matter what
time it was in New York, it was always loud and people were moving around.
“Daddy! Daddy
where are you?”
Justin looked around. Was this going to haunt him
for forever? He was definitely hearing voices now and was about to crack.. This
was going to drive him crazy. He definitely had to find Aaliyah later and sit
down and have a talk with her about Issabell, because he didn’t want to miss
anymore of his daughter’s life.

“Hear
I come.” Aaliyah yelled as she ran to the door. “Justin..” She said and looked
at him with a surprised look on her face. “What are you doing here?” She asked
and let him come in.
“We
need to talk.” He said and looked at her and saw her crack a smile.
“About
what? There’s nothing to talk about.” She said and walked past him and into the
living room.
“We
need to talk about Issabell.” He said and sat down across from her in a chair.
“Were is she anyway?” He asked and looked at her.
“She’s
with her grandmother.” She said and looked back at him.
“Don’t
you think she spends enough time with your mother?” He asked and watched her
laugh.
“My
mother did I say anything about my mother?” She said and looked at him with a
smile, “She’s with your mother.”
“There’s
no way she could be with my mother because she’s at home in Tennessee plus my
mother doesn’t even know about Issabell.” He said and looked her in her eyes.
“Your
mother has been there for Issabell since day one, she made a promise with me
that she wouldn’t bring this up to you. I told her that I just thought it was
for the best so she kept it quite, she’s been there for me and Izzy a lot, and
your mother’s in the city for a little while. She was coming to spend some time
with Izzy while I was working.” Aaliyah said and smirked.
“So
my mother knew all this time but wouldn’t tell me a thing.” He said and watched
her nod.
“She wanted to see her
grandchild too so I said sure, I mean she adores her so why not.”
“Aaliyah
listen, I’m sorry about all of the things I said that night. I truly regret
every word that came out of my mouth ok.” He said and looked her in her eyes,
“But please let me see my daughter, I would hate to have to live without
knowing my daughter.”
She
saw in his eyes he meant it and she really didn’t know what to say. Half of her
wanted to say no while the other side wanted to say yes. “Ok fine you can see
Issabell, but have you forgot that you have to tell Christina about this?”
He
was glad she said ok but forgot about Christina. This was going to be a living
nightmare. “I know I have to tell her. Look I’m going to go home and tell her
and how about I come by tomorrow afternoon to see Izzy?” He said and looked at
her smile. He was happy to see her smile again. She hadn’t smiled in awhile.
“Ok,”
She said and looked at him. “Good luck with Christina you might want to have
911 in speed dial, she was a good person Justin.” She said and laughed.
“Oh
go to hell.” He said and shook his head as he stood up with a smile. “One thing
about you that hasn’t changed is your cruel sense of humor.”
“Just
to let you know, it won’t ever change.” She said and smiled.
~*10:00 p.m.*~
“Christina,
we need to talk.” Justin said and looked at her. “There’s something I should
have told you three years ago.” He said and watched her raise an eyebrow.
“Ok,
so what is it?” She asked and sat down across from him at the table. “I’m ready
to listen.”
“Just
please hear me out before you say anything, ok?” He said and watched her nod.
“Ok
I will.” She said and looked at him. “This is serious isn’t it?” She asked and
watched him nod his head yes.
“Well
you know when we were talking to Aaliyah yesterday and she told us about
Issabell’s dad.” He asked.
“Yeah,
but what does that have to do with you?” She asked.
“Well,
I’m Issabell’s father, and that woman she was talking about is you.” He said
and shook his head. “This has been bothering me since she told the story over
and it’s just been haunting me that I haven’t been there for Issabell and her
when they needed me the most.” He
sighed, “Now I totally regret some of the things I said to her that night, I
feel really bad that I never told you this, and I will forever hate myself for
not seeing my daughter for three years, but Christina please forgive me and see
where I’m coming from, I love you ok, and I don’t want to be with out you
ever.”
Christina
sat there with her mouth open for awhile before she could just muster up what
she was feeling at the moment. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner, I mean you just
left her when she was pregnant! When she needed you.” She said and shook her
head. “How could you?” She asked and then looked at him, “I love you too but
you know that I’m going to have a hard time trusting you anymore.” She said,
“You lied to me Justin, you didn’t tell me that I was like your other woman,
that you were involved with Aaliyah at the same time. Justin you left her and
that baby by themselves and that’s not right.”
“I
know and I realized that I really did.” He said and sighed. “That’s why
tomorrow I’m going to just spend some time with Issabell.”
“I’m
glad your trying to make up the lost time with your daughter. Hopefully you’ll
do fine.” She said and smiled. “Justin, I think it would be good that tomorrow
I should stay somewhere else because I need some time to think alright.” She
said and looked at him.
“Ok,
I understand this is a lot to put all on one person in one night.” He said and
smiled, “I’m going to bed alright, I want to get up early so I have enough time
to figure out all of my daughters likes and dislikes.” He said and watched her
laugh.
“Ok,
goodnight.” She said and watched her husband go upstairs. She hoped that this
wasn’t going to change anything because if it did she was going to do what she
thought she had to do.
