Outline: A relatively minor gang has moved into a section of Suburbia. Their presence is causeing quite a few problems and their removal is nessisary. They have managed to hire a couple of Props and many of them are known drug abusers so be on your guard.
Summary: Quintus is a gang that is ruled over by a feral Brain Waster who has been abandoned by his parents. He has grown sick and tired of trying to eke out a like in the pits of downtown where the large super gangs already have such a secure hold so he is now moveing to suburbia. He figgures there the Shivers are stupider, the people are weaker and any ops that get sent their way…well they got some suprises for them. The plan is to take a few sections of suburbia for all they are worth then to storm back into Downtown with guns blazeing and grab a sizable territory for themselves that they can both hold and make money from. So far their plan is working and the amount of money that has been rolling in has been phenominal. Also from the number of shivers that they killed they all got some sort of SLA related equipment.
The Gang; The gang consists of roughly 2 dozen members, the brain waster leader, 2 props, and about 3 dozen more hangers on that they picked up when they moved into suburbia.
The Bainwaster being feral doesn't have any sort of a deathsuit, but he dose have a padded long coat with an unknown number of glyph cards lieing about. He also is armed with a Bully Boy shotgun a vareity of close combat weapons amongst other things. Use then generic brain waster stats from the Karma source book, tweek as desired.
The 2 dozen gangmembers are the one's from downtown. These guys are tough, hard as nails, and in general enormouly unpleasent kids who have grown up on the toughtest streets in mort with the toughest sort of life. They are all quite skilled at their chosen weapon from the constant fighting and practis that they do. They know they have to keep sharp and strong in order to survive. Currently the gang has been hording Ultra Violence so that when their first ops show up they can take them down and get some real equipment. When news of the ops show up they will all be slavering at the mouth a ready to take them on. Use the civialian convert stats for them.
The 3 dozen hangers on are from the local kids who desperatly want to be in a real gang. They are a sad negleted buntch that the others use for cannon fodder and target practis but little eles. They will try to defend the gang at first but a few bodies will cause them to think otherwise.
The Hammer: The hammer is one of the props they hired. He carries two weapons, a high velocity boom hammer, and a warhammer. He rarely speaks, when he dose it is mostly just gutteral grunts. He's as big as a Stormer and about as mean as a Chagrin. None of the gang member know very much about him except he's friends with the boss and that you are not to piss him off under any circumstance. A mask of steel hides his face.
Jaester: Jaester is the Hammer's direct opposite, he is a thin, lithe figgure who moves blindingly fast and who's weapons of choise are throwing knives of all sorts and flavors. Most of them are covered in a poinson of some sort that can do anything from incapasitate mildly to kill. Jaester and Hammer usually work together as a team, the hammer blows apart the armor of the people they are fighting against while Jarster sneaks in and goes for the kill. This time however things are slightly different.
The GOALS OF THE GANG:
They want the ops equipment as undamaged as possible. They plan on takeing the
ops equipment, and all the shiver stuff they grabbed and selling it on the black
market so that they can get some real guns and some nice stuff. Then they will
carve out their area of downtown and all will be good.
Suburbia: This area of Suburbia is about midway between Centeral and Downtown. It is located very near one of the massive streaches of factorys that make something or other for the hard working citizens of Mort. When you get there you see that the place bears a closer resemblence to some of the hell holes you have seen in lower downtown than sububia. Young kids wearing gang colors are lounging on the front steps of many of the buildings. You notice that they don't look very tough and seem more like the typical suburban street punk than anyone else.
When you get out of your mode of transport what ever it is the members on the street begin jeering and throwing things at you. You all quickly realize that at most these kids are about 14 years old. They are also for the most part unarmed. The Kids keep up their jeerring. Your atension is caught when a bullet goes wizzing past your heads. You see three kids down the street ducking into an alley. One building up after an intersection. If the players give chase they will of fallen into a rather deviouse trap. The inter section has cars ready to go speeing acrost it as soon as the players enter the middle. These cars are for the most part unmanned and will just go straight, there will be two cars per direction. A few acrobatics rolls and some dex rolls will help them avvoid being squashed. Then come two more cars these both manned by Gang memebers all armed with guns and shooting out the windows. These will be aiming for the ops and whatnot. These other cars will both be armored cabs that they carjacked one day. They can take quite a few hits before eventually going down. Once one goes down the other will surrender (or pretend to at least) when then the Props burst from the sewers. And start terring into the players while all the gang members who are wacked out on Ultra Violence Swing in to help. The Brain Waster leader will show up shortly after and use a couple of well placed Ebb effects before chargeing in to the hand to hand combat.
Once the players begin to kill a couple of the gang members they all retreat, by scattering off in different directions, the props disapear into the sewers and the players are left alone on the streets. Here starts the long night from hell. A civilian will come out saying his son got involved with that gang not to long ago. They base everything on their leader, they killed every shiver in the area and a squad of ops who came through her not to long ago on another BPN. They are a bad…he stops talking, blood comes running `out of his mouth and he falls forwards with a knife in his back.
What is to follow is a building by building search, each one if full of traps, ambushes, and very nasty hostage situtations. Eventualy the players can get out the gang memebers is that their lair is in the sewers.
A Building example:
All doors are rigged up with trip wires regardless of wether or not they actualy contain gang memebers. The stairs also has trip wires on random steps requreing a Dex check for all combat takeing place there, except for the person who set them. Walls are rigged to fall down, in short it is mostly going to be all hit run and hostage through the three floors of the building. There are actually 4 real gang members in the building and if you want to the props might show up to help as well. Once they caputre a gang member they can eventualy gather the information out of him with a sucessful torture/intimidate/what have you roll.
The Sewer Lair. The sewer lair is trapped in much a similar way to the actual
buildings that they went in. Only this way the trip wires are extreamly difficult
to see and the players will be stumbleing around a lot. Eventually they manage
to get to the actual living quarters where everyone will be waiting. After a
couple of rounds of combat the two props will escape, preffering to live and
make money another day instead of dieing. The brain waster will fight to the
bitter end letting loose a variety of ebb powers, and the other gang members
will as well.
