Ralph “Bud” Franklin Sandbach Jr., 63, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sugarcreek Rest Home in Worthington. Born Feb. 22, 1938, in Butler, he was the son of Ralph Franklin Sandbach Sr. and Mabel Claire Craig. He had worked as a custodian for the Butler School District, retiring in July 2000, after 30 years. Mr. Sandbach attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was an Army veteran, and he had been active in the Butler Little Theater. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Naomi) Werksman of Penn Hills and Mrs. Mary M. Simmons, of Grove City; a niece; and four nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and a nephew.
