notes:

As you can see, I "#%¤"# got there too late. A real bummer, but they started playing at 10pm which is very early. I got there about 20min later and I'm definitely be going earlier next time, but too late for that now. The  part I did get though, was really great. Amazing actually and the best Meshuggah gig I have witnessed (have only seen them twice before though. First time in Oslo supporting Machine head just before releasing DEI album and second in Bergen with Entombed a couple of years back). I can't believe how tight and precise Meshuggah are live. Not the average metal band, that's for sure! A lot of people headbanging and a couple of  people stage diving (maybe not the smartest move). Shouldn't be a problem on a sold out venue, but people moved to the side and I was standing on the balcony witnessing quite a few people going face down on the floor (ouch). I guess a couple of them were a bit drunk, cause I saw the same guy do it twice. First time he landed safely on the crowd, but got tossed, did a spin and landed flat down on his back. Second time a nice dive, people moving to the side and... bam! face down on the floor. He then dissapearred for a while......(?)

Anyway. Taping position was upper left balcony. Had a few people in front of me (obviously since I came late), but it turned out pretty good.  Last two tracks sounds a bit better than the rest. Reason: People thought they had finished and walked away from the balcony leaving me with a pretty good taping position. I tried to eliminate the difference through the equlizing process, but there's a slight shift in sound. All in all a good recording, but unfortunately incomplete :-(..
