TAPER'S RECORDING NOTES:
not my best recording, but not my worst either. i talk and act foolish way more than i normally would while recording, but i felt good, was having a good time, and got really wasted. still, a nice recording of a memorable event.

Additional notes:
I decided to take it upon myself to name this recording "Plastic Jesus in a Wooden Box" because of the plastic jesus nightlight that was inside one of the power supply boxes located back by the soundboard. I was standing next to the soundboard during the opening band, and I noticed inside of the QOTSA crates was this awesome plastic jesus nightlight. I am not sure why, but for some reason I found this amusing; it tickled my fancy, if you please. You can see a picture of it in the pictures file included on this disc. I have created a cd sleeve for this show, with artwork, tracklisting, and times. It's nothing fancy, but here if you want it. It is located in the pictures file, and is titled "qotsa lubbock jacket". The jacket was designed using Roxio's cd label creator. I printed a copy, scanned that into the computer, manipulated the size, and saved it as a jpeg file. The dimensions of the jacket are 4.5 inches by 9.5 inches, so all  you have to do is simply print the picture and cut off the excess paper. Also in the pictures and scans file, you will find a scan of a handbill that was being handed out in the lubbock area, to help promote the show. There is also a picture of an awesome poster that was being sold at the show. It was done by the amazing artist jermaine, measures 11 by 17 inches, and is a limited edition. only 100 were made, all signed and numbered individually by jermaine himself. 50 of these were sent to be sold at the show, and are marked by "show proof 9/50". mine is number 9 of 50, which i bought at the show. there are many different qotsa posters available for a wide date range of shows. check out the qotsa website or www.philaarts.com for awesome posters. All photos taken at the show were taken using a sony dsc-p51 digital camera
