** Extended improv jams!!

Wow! QOTSA really put on quite a show this evening. Over 90 minutes, 21 songs and 4 of them with extended improvisation jams. Man, this was just an amazing show! Great seeing/hearing the best rock band around giving it all with their intense and precise performance. The songs marked with ** had awesome extended improvisation jams which is definately one of my reasons for collecting and listening to live music. With that setlist and performance, I couldn't be more happier. Very cool that Mark Lanegan is with them on this tour with his rusty-voice contribution.

Rec note:

As I'm pretty partial and will love listening to this show, I will try to rate it as inpartial and honest as I can. My taping position was upper right balcony which left me with very little audience noise and the recording turned out pretty good. Absolutely no brickwall and not to much bass. I'm pretty satisfied with the mics I've got, but they don't get the crisp high peaks. I have equalized it a bit, but I think the recording captured the sound as it sounded there that night. Rockefeller has a special indoor sound.

My md has flawed a bit lately and on this recording it has a couple of small split seconds of sound drop out. Nothing really bad, but I just like to post all the info I have on the recording. Here's the list over the drop outs:

d1, t14, 00:17
d1, t18, 04:08
d2, t1, 01:32
d2, t2, 09:32
d2, t3, 06:07
