Theres many ways to get around Ireland. You can take the highways or the railroads. Heres a few facts on transportation on Ireland.

highways: theres a total 92,500 km of highways. 87,043 km highways are paved including 115 km of expressways. 5,457 km are unpaved highways.

railways: There's 3,314 km of railways. About 1,365 km of railways are broad ways. 38 km is electric rails. 485 is double tracks. 1,365 km 0.914-m gauge of narrow tracks, which is operated by the Irish Peat Board to transport peat to power stations and plants.

airports: A total of 44 airports. A total of 17 paved airports and a total of 27 unpaved airports.

waterways: Theres 700 km of waterways used for commercial traffic.

Ports and Harbors: The following cities has ports and/or Harbors: Waterford, New Ross, Limerick, Galway, Dublin, Foynes, Cork, Arklow, Drogheda.

pipelines: 7,592 km of pipes transporting natural gas. Transmission is 1,158 and distribution is 6,434.
