November 10, 2002: Natural Infection, Mary Kelly, and The Dying Breed @ Immanuel's Chruch
SET: Battery (METALLICA), Without Reason, Misery, War Machine, Revenge [OMITTED], Party Inc. (Andrew W.K. + Metallica)
The was intended to start at 7:15, but did not start till 7:30 beacuse Moose was still at work. Since the show was moved back fifteen minutes, Revenge had to be cut out. One new song debuted: 'Without Reason,' a song about the beltway sniper jerk ass. Party Inc. was a lovely blend consisting of Andrew W.K.'s 'Party Hard' with the solo from Metallica's 'Damage Inc.' attached as an outro. Not much else to say about this show; no one in the crowd moved except for Chrispy and Darius who eventually were told to stop, no one on stage could hear anyone, VyRUS' amp was not miked, AQ's sound was not coming through, ...Steve could hear no one, Moose's bass was too loud. Why the hell weren't people moshing?? Its safe to assume it was beacuse the Chrispy/Darius rematch was halted and everyone interpereted it as 'no moshing.' But its okay for people to mosh to Mary Kelly and Natural Infection, no one better move a muscle during TDB. What the hell is up with that?? At Club Liquid people moshed to Shi-Toh, and not TDB. It doesn't add up. Shi-Toh or TDB, chillin music or killin music. Anyway, if you missed this show, don't feel bad. It reaked of stupiditude. TDB will never be playing there again.

September 14, 2002: The Dying Breed and Shi-Toh @ Club Liquid
SET: For Whom the Bell Tolls (METALLICA), Misery, Elegy, Downer, War Machine, Revenge.
The set started at 9:30PM, though it was scheduled to begin at 9:00PM. All went well through out the whole show until the bridge of War Machine. AQ's sound suddenly cut out. No one was able to figure out if it was the cable, the guitar or the amp. Eventually, after about ten minutes of toiling, the sound had mysteriously returned. The War Machine had started up again and the show continued. The set was closed with Revenge. Despite the fact that this technical difficulty was the worst in TDB history, all other aspects of the show were excellent: sound, atmosphere/lighting, the crowd was very attentive. Make no mistake, the difficulties at this show had absoluteley no connection to the date being Friday the 13th, the very notion is just plain rediculous.

September 10, 2002: Mullerfest 2K2 @ Jim Muller's Back Yard
SET: Damage Inc. (METALLICA), Never Good Enough, Misery, Downer, Elegy, War Machine, Paying For Life, Dawn of the Martyr, Revenge, So What.
Four words: BEST SHOW EV ER. The show started around 2:00 as ...Steve finally arrived on the scene. TDB was finally given a sufficient amount of time and was even able to talk to the crowd. The sun beat down as TDB beat out music that shattered silence and alerted all to their presence. The crowd was about 50 people at any given moment. Two new songs were debuted at this show; Dawn of the Martyr and Revenge (yes, it was played at St. John's, but it wasn't like anyone was their). As the set came to a close, El VyRUS spoke of stupid people, specifically Elaine Amankwah and how she recently raised the bar for any idiot on the face of the planet. VyRUS asked questions, all of which he answered with a "So What..." The last of these were answered by the M00SE with a "SO FUCKIN WHAT" as the crowd was exposed to So What. Although the VyRUS fell on several ocasions due to the extreme heat and began to sweat green fluids, there was one factor that made this show the BEST SHOW EV ER: NO ONE WALKED OUT!!

July 29, 2002: Project Change Show @ St. John's
SET: Damage Inc. (METALLICA), Misery, Revenge.
(Just to inform you ahead of time, if you missed this show, you missed nothing.) AQ and VyRUS show up to find that they are slated to be first, which was not acceptable as MOOSE would not have been free until 9:00 P.M. Apparently, everyone was either in the same situation or were in a frame of mind where they thought the were too good to open the show. Finally, the Kamakaze Elephants took the stage. After they exited, Mr. Armaggedon performed, after whom TDB played. Once again, big round of applause for the people that took a walk as TDB took the stage. As TDB was setting up, people began to leave. In addition to this smack to the face, TDB's set was cut down to 15 of the 30 minutes they were to have (5 of the 15 going to Shi-Toh and another 5 to whomever was after them). This meant that the origional set of: Damage Inc. (Metallica), Misery, Dawn of the Martyr, War Machine, Paying for Life, Revenge was reduced to: Damage Inc., Misery, Revenge. VyRUS forgot some of the lyrics, but it wasn't like anyone was there. What the fuck??

July 14, 2002: Gregfest 2k2 @ Greg Hallen's Place. **CANCELLED: CRAPPY WEATHER CONDITIONS**

July 13, 2002: Olney Summer Music Fest 2k2 @ Caruso Stadium SHS.
SET: Fade to Black (METALLICA), Never Good Enough, Misery, War Machine, Paying for Life.
TDB was sandwiched between two bigger bands (The Color Orange and Dr. Bell) in one of the better time slots, 4:30 P.M. As TCO finished, Mike Bart introduced the Breed and the show started off with ungreatful masses of the crowd leaving. TDB covered Metallica's Fade to Black, which few members of the crowd recognized and sang along to. After this cover was the introduction of a new song, Never Good Enough. Following this was The Dying Breed's signature song Misery, single copies of which were passed out to the crowed, free of charge. War Machine followed in which El Virus joined the crowd (Virus supports crowd participation 100%) and continued to pass out 'Misery' demos. Succeeding the Fear Factory tribute/battle cry, Moose introduced TDB's latest single, Paying for Life, as a song about how bitchy life can be. Virus passed out the last of the cd's, went back to his devoted punker pals, and surfed the crowd until security cut into the dance and warned to keep to the ground. The sound was excellent, despite the fact that AQ and Virus could not hear themselves. Also, Flietell's punk-ass was no where in sight (big plus).

May 18, 2002: Park Show @ Olney Mill Family Park.
Proceeds went to: Cancer Research
SET: Damage Inc. (METALLICA), Misery, Downer, Elegy, War Machine, Eye for an Eye (SOULFLY)
The show started off with Thrillhouse openeing as Guinea Pigs for the sound manager Josh Flietell. TDB started when Virus arrived half an hour late ue to traffic. As TDB played, shoud was still being worked on. Excessive noise was projected from AQ's amp; the noised was never reduced by Flietell. The set was the same as the set from the previous night. The crowd consisted of the same people from the night before, numbering about 20 or 30, which was peculiar as this show was free and the previous nights was not. The crowd was fired up during Damage Inc., Downer, War Machine, and, of course, Eye for an Eye. At the end of the set, there was a small anouncement that band was called The Dying Breed. It was on this day that TDB decides to never again play Eye for an Eye at a show as people semmed only to come for that song.

May 17, 2002: The Dying Breed, Thrid Fret, Shi-Toh, Ill Basics, and Top Piece @ Sherwood HS (Little Theater).
Proceeds went to: Habitat for Humanity
SET: Damage Inc. (METALLICA), Misery, Downer, Elegy, War Machine, Eye for an Eye (SOULFLY)
The show kicked off with TDB as openers. The lights were dim while TDB blessed the crowd with Metallica's Damage Inc. As the show progressed, the lights raised. This show saw the introduction of one new song; War Machine. At Virus's request, the lights went out for War Machine. The turn out was moderate, about 50 people to begin with. According to Moose, AQ botched a solo, although no one else could tell. At the end of the show, TDB performed Eye for an Eye again, for lack of having practiced a new closing cover. Sound was excellent.

April 13, 2002: Rock-Out-Reach @ Immanuel's Church.
SET: For Whom the Bell Tolls (METALLICA), Misery, Downer, Elegy, Eye for an Eye (SOULFLY).
TDB arrived before the show to conduct sound checks. The crowd grew gradually by the minute, peaking at about 50 people in the crowd. As the show started, TDB opened with Form Whom the Bell Tolls. At the end of the song, they introduce themselves as Metallica and continue with their set. Sound was less than acceptable as AQ was not able to hear himself through the monitor. El Virus could barely hear himself through his monitor. Through out the show, Moose's bass and ...Steve's drums over powered all but the vocals. At the end of the show, TDB closes with Eye for an Eye much to the liking of the crowd. As the song ended, El Virus leaps into the crowd taking out a small group of people and Moose gets nervous as he could not find the Virus for a few seconds.
