North Buddies Production is a collaboration with a group of bands who are basically from the Northern region. The initial aim is to set up a network for local bands from the Northern region so that they may reach wider audience. Many of us are still in the 'unknown' category while some of our friends are already begin to see the light...so it has since been our policy that we will try to put these "unknowns" on the same stage together with some of the who's-who-according-to-our-opinion-only in our music industry..
As to now we are currently concentrating on organizing gigs so that these Northern region based bands will have a chance to prove themselves on the stage. We are also trying our best to get more people to join this network which if looked at a larger scale, will beneficial to all as in the fans and also the bands.
The most fundamental thing about North Buddies is that we are organizing activities which are youth oriented. We do not promote drugs or violence, just music. Gigs and shows are organized to promote the local bands and also to give an opportunity to bands to stage their original music and ideas. We also fight against piracy and give more accountability to originality. Please join us to promote the network that we are building. We would like to help unnoticed bands get 'a small break' at least once and furthermore bring all of them together so that we can build up the status of Malaysian music and especially the English music scene in Malaysia.
