Good morning to all of Grandma's family & friends who are here today to celebrate her life. I say that to let youall know, if you knew my Grandma, she never knew a stranger, and cherished all of us here in her own special way.

A month ago God started preparing my heart for the loss of my Grandma. Since then I have been remembering all the things she taught me and all the love she showed me, as well as those of you here this morning. Grandma never had an ill word toward others, she was the picture of God's unconditional love. Grandma's love is represented in each one of our hearts that are here today.

If I could choose one thing to talk about the way Grandma showed her love, it would be to talk about her hands. Her hands were strong enought to pull cotton, live through the depression, cook meals for her family, raise four children (and also help nuture her sisters's three children), build a Godly family and work long hours in a diner. Her hands were soft and delicate to which she would decorate the most beautiful cakes, dew numerous clothes for her family, cradle her newborn babies and hold the hand of her husband for almost 55 years.

Her hands were gentle enough to hold four grandbabies, six great-grandbabies, wipe away her daughters tears when she tore her newly sewn dress, and cradle my face as she told me how proud she was of me and how much she loved me.

She has been to us a comforter, counselor, provider, helper, woman of sacrifice, preacher, teacher, friend, companion and a woman with a love for Jesus I have always admired. She spend numerous hours and years on her kees with my Grandpa in paryer for everyone in the family. One of her greatest heart's desires was to see her whole family committed to the lord. Because of those prayers, I pray I am an exampe of my Grandma's way of loving with a heart so full of God's love, it just pured out of her continously.

I believe God has called this precious daughter of His home because He is soon going to be having His own wedding and needs her delicate loving hands to make the most beautiful wedding cake. Grandma, I know you can her me, I love you, we will all miss you dearly, please save a place for me at His table, because we are not saying good-bye, "We will see you soon".
