Art Glass - Bowl #1

Created in Bryce4 and Photoshop. This is the first in a series of art glass pieces that I'm working on. It's was an exercise to learn more about the Materials Editor. I've been using the Terrain Editor more and more and have become very comfortable with it, but am not nearly as familiar with the Materials Editor. I have Steven Lareau to thank for the inspiration of this piece. First of all he offers wonderful materials on his website and has a "Material of the Week" every single week. GREAT fun! I downloaded an multicolored glass material, but when I used it on objects it looked more like colored snow, which was pretty, but I really wanted more solid colored spots, so I timidly played around with the Materials Editor until I got the effect I was after. Secondly, I have to thank Steve for the idea of the "Crystal Bowl on Display" idea. He did a series of beautiful crystal bowls and I just had to see if I could do that myself. Steve has a VERY nice website and is the creator of the Bryce Portals, which I have had the honor of participating in. If you love Bryce, you HAVE to visit his site!
