Untitled!
Fear and torment ran through my mind
As the Nazis came and took all of my kind.
There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide,
And in no way would I give up my Jewish pride.
They bound our hands as we went with bare feet,
To the Death Camp we rode tasting our own defeat.
I marched along with my sister and brother,
And looked around at the five million others.
I was so scared, this couldn't be real,
I was completely numb, I didn't know how to feel.
I took a deep breath and a tear rolled down my face,
My whole life was gone, completely erased.
We're stuck in a room and they turn on the gas,
The next breath I take will surely be the last.
Listen to my story, take heed to what I say,
If you learn this lesson, the world may live another day.
See how prejudice can easily seal your fate,
And remember the next time the consequences of hate.
