§ 5-28-208. Telephone reporting - Determination of prior records.

(a) There shall be a single statewide telephone number that all persons, whether mandated by law or not, may use to report cases of suspected adult abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation, and neglect and that all persons so authorized by this chapter may use for determining the existence of prior records in order to evaluate the conditions or circumstances of the alleged abused, exploited, or neglected adult before them.

(b) If the records indicate a previous report concerning the subject of the report or other pertinent information, the investigator or law enforcement, when appropriate, shall be notified of these facts.
