Friends, you and me...you brought another friend...and then there were 3...we started our group...Our Circle of Friends...and like the circle...there's no beginning, there is no end.
and asked them how many times have we came close to some kind of danger or disaster, which we never knew of, but the angel that was appointed to us, took care of it only to gently shove us aside. We do keep our gaurdian angels busy don't we?
Every morning before my husband takes Tigger and Shorty to the bus stop, we join hands and pray for the arc of safety to be around and about them. I know I can't go with them and follow right behind them to ward off any ugly thing that will may come at them. But We know as they walk out that door every day, that they are in God's hands. Tigger said, "Mom my day goes so much smoother when we pray. " PLacing them in God's hands is far safer than letting them walk out the door unattended. We strees to each child that we, as their parents are still responsible for their teaching until they are on their own. But when they are at school, we can't see that they ast right, or say things that will be pleasing to the Lord. So, we stress that God is our eyes, and in the end, he will be the one they (all of us really) will have to answer to.
Today, Shorty had two basketball games. This was a tournament, because they went undefeated. The first game started, I held my husband's hand, bowed my head and prayed for the team. I prayed for my son that God's angels will be in the court with him and his friends. I believed this could happen because God's word says it is true. Psalms 34:7, The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that lear him, and delivereth them." the angel of the Lord guards and rescues-- and I feel he put a prorective shield around the boys today. there was so much falling down. One of our teammates was knocked down and his head was hurt. You say, I thought your angels were out there... they were:) The boy could have been hurt alot worse that he was. You see God orders his angels to protect us wherever we go. Psalms 91:11, For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." God is mindful of everything that is important to us. Large or small, if it is important to us, it is to God. His word tells us "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added unto you. " Even baskeball games. The Dragon team won their tournament today. I feel it was with God's help and the gentle protection of His angels, we sometimes forget are their. :)
