caring for your bunny
Apart from feeding and cleaning your bunny there are a few things you should do for your bunny.
The first is grooming, this is extremely important with the longer haired breeds. It is not essential for the shorter haired breeds, but as they do molt about twice a year it's no harm to get in on the habit of grooming bunny. He/she will enjoy it and it helps prevent hairball.
Nail should be checked frequently, some rabbits never need them clipped. Whereas others may need them cut every other month. They can easily be cut back with a nail-clippers. It is advisable to clip no further back than about 1/4 of an inch from the quick.
You should also check your bunnies teeth it is not unusual for them to grow too long, thus causing your bunny discomfort and causing difficulty eating. To prevent this from happening make sure your bunny has chew sticks. But if this should occur bring your bunny to the vet, he will either clip the teeth or file them.
