Short-Cut Chili Con Carne
Makes 6 - 7 servings

From: Virginia (Eschauffer)
  • Ingredients:

    1 pound lean ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 tsp salt
    1 - 2 tsp chili powder
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
    2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained


    Cooking Instructions:

    In skillet, break up beef with fork and cook until lightly browned. Pour off excess fat. In slow-cooking pot, combine meat with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 2 - 3 hours. Remove bay leaf.
