Country Christian !
She Still Reads Her Bible
Just two miles off the interstate.
Tin roof house on County Eight.
Just like stepping back in time forty years.
He passed on five years ago.
Gone to the place with the streets of gold.
I know She must've cried about a million tears.
Oh, She still reads her bible.
She still sings those songs.
She still knows with His love,
She'll never go wrong.
She still has that promise.
She still knows the truth.
She believes He'll be coming,
For Her very soon.
Theres a family Bible in the living room.
She reads and prays every day at noon.
The kids Just don't come By like they use to do.
She prays for them 'cause She loves them so.
Guess they'll probably never know;
How the faith She has in Jesus Just grew and grew.
Oh, She still reads her bible.
She still sings those songs.
She still knows with His love,
She'll never go wrong.
She still has that promise.
She still knows the truth.
She believes He'll be coming,
For Her very soon.
We fly by can't slow us down.
Never think about the lady at the edge of town.
We're Always in a hurry, no time to Pray.
She takes time, each day at noon.
On those knees, in Her living room.
There She'll be with Jesus 'till She's called away.
Oh, She still reads her bible.
She still sings those songs.
She still knows with His love,
She'll never go wrong.
She still has that promise.
She still knows the truth.
She believes He'll be coming,
For Her very soon.
