Bus Ministry Skit
This Skit uses references to our bus ministry "Street Reach".
You Can change a few words and it will be good for any Kids Church Setting.
Israel And The Ark
(Butch is sleeping at edge of stage)(with hair over his eyes)
Liz: (From off stage) Butch, where are you, we have to talk to the kids about the Ark of God......Buuuuutch.
(Liz enters stage)
Liz: There you are (goes over to Butch and bumps him) wake up.
Butch: Whoa... Liz... I'm blind, Oh no I must have disobeyed God!
Liz: Butch, don't be silly, your hair is just over your eyes, shake your head.
(Butch shakes his head)
Butch: What a nightmare that was. I'm not blind (excited) I bet I'll obey God from now on.
Liz: What are you talking about?
Butch: Well I was studying todays lesson when I fell asleep. I was reading about the Phillistines and Eli and his Sons. I read the part about the Israelites looking in the Ark and being killed. I guess I was kinda confused.
Liz: I'll say your confused. Eli's sons took the Ark out of the tabernacle. That was a BIG mistake. They were killed by the Phillistines. When the Phillistines took the Ark, lots of bad things happened to them. Finally they gave it back to the Israelites. Then the Israelites disobeyed God by looking in it and some of them were killed by God.
Butch: Aaaaaah (sounding confused still) Who was blind???
Liz: (Shortly) Eli !!!... Butch why don't you go wash your face and wake up, I'll catch up with you later.
Butch: Gosh chick, it was just a bad dream.... (leaving stage)
(talking to audience)
Liz: Kids, you know God isn't going to make us go blind or kill us. As Christians we are free of all those harsh punishments from God. Jesus died on the cross as payment for our sins. We can all get blessings from God if we obey His word. Jesus spoke about this in the New Testament.
In John Chapter 15 verse 7 Jesus Said....
(Carl interrupts)
(Carl from offstage)
Carl: Hold it right there Missy.
Liz: Carl, why are you interupting me? Show your face you big, ugly........I don't even know what kind of animal you are. Come on, why are you interrupting me.
(Carl enters stage)
Carl: I'm suppose to do the memory verse, thank you !
Liz: Does it really matter?
Carl: Well, it will be three weeks 'till Street Reach again. I don't want to be left out.
Liz: OK big mouth, go ahead !!!!!
Carl: Jesus said: If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. That is in John 15:7.
How about you Kids give it a try? One, Two, Three...
(Repeat memory verse with the audience)
Liz: I sure am glad you and Butch don't spend much time together.
Carl: Why's that, my red headed freind?
(Liz leaving stage)
Liz: It'd be just like the BLIND leading the BLIND !!!
Carl: She is sooooo mean. Kids, make sure to bring a freind next session. We should all try to bring someone to Jesus! See ya' February 13th!!!
