Holiday Skits!
The Important One At Christmas
Santa: (Enters stage singing) Here comes Santa Clause, Here come Santa Clause,
right down Santa Clause lane, Vixen & Blitzen, all his reindeer pulling on his reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing, all is merry and bright, so hang your stockings and
say your prayers, cause Santa Clause comes tonight....
Rudolf: (enters before Santa finishes)(starts singing) Rudolf the red nosed reindeer,
had a very shiny nose, and if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names,
they never let poor Rudolf, join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say...
Rudolf with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then how the reindeer loved him, and they shouted out with glee,
Rudolf the red nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history.
Santa: (interrupts before Rudolf ends) Hey, hey!!! I was singing first
and I'm more important than you anyway.
Rudolf: Well if it wasn't for me you wouldn't get anywhere big shot!
Angel: (starts singing and enters stage) "Joy To The World"
Santa: (still arguing) I deliver the presents and I tell the elves what to do...
Santa: (sees angel)(boldly) and who are you?
Angel: I'm the Christmas angel, what are you two arguing about?
Rudolf: Santa says he's more important than me!!
Santa: and Rudolf says I'm not as important as him!!
Angel: you both have it wrong, Jesus is the important one at Christmas.
Rudolf: Jesus?
Santa: Jesus who?
Angel: Jesus Christ the Son of God. He's what Christmas is all about.
The Bible tells about Jesus....lets hear what the Bible says.
Bible, come forth and give us the word of God.
Bible: So you want to know about Jesus...Well this is what Luke chp. 2 says:
(7) And she gave birth to her first born son, and she wrapped him in clothes and laid him
in a manger because there was no room for him in the Inn.
(8) And in the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping
watch over their flocks by night.
(9) and an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them and the glory of the Lord shone around them;
and they were terribly frightened.
(10) And the angel said to them " Do not be afraid for behold I bring you good news of a great joy which
shall be for all people
(11) for today in the city of David there has been born for you a savior who is Christ the Lord.
Is there anything else?
Angel: I think that will do for now. Do you guys understand who is important?
Rudolf & Santa: (together) Yes!!!
Angel: Well then, lets sing: Joy to the world...come on piano player, hit those keys and help us!!
(end walking off stage)
