Total Crew: 2 Firefighters during work week, otherwise on-call
Special Training: It is manned by the on-duty Fire Marshal and Fire
Investigator. The Fire Marshals must complete the Legoland Fire Marshal Acadamy which trains them in interviewing, interrogation, State Criminal & Civil Law, and Evidence Collection & Preservation. They are also certified and trained in practical fire-related investigative subjects including Chemistry & Behavior of Fire, Determining Point of Origin, Basics of Insurance, Building Construction, Photography, Fire Scene Investigation, firearms, and NBC/Weapons of Mass-destruction investigation.
Specialized Equipment
This unit contains evidence-collection equipment, including: still cameras, both digital & film; video camera; camera tripod & photo lights; film, batteries, and lenses for cameras; numbered evidence markers, tags, and logs; hydrocarbon detector; sealable metal evidence containers; binoculars; shovels and rakes; hand tools; chain saw; 12' folding ladder; tape measures; hydrant adapter, wrench, and a short hose for washing tools; and barrier tape. It also contains a cellular phone; radios; laptop computer; portable shelter w/ indentification banner; portable lights; turnout & fire investigation PPE; and 4.5 SCBA equipment..
