LEGO CITY OF DUTCHESS FIRE / RESCUE
CITY HOSPITALS

This page contains information on the hospitals that serve Dutchess City and the surrounding communities.

The locations of these facilities can be found by clicking here and viewing the map of Dutchess City. The gray squares represent the location of the city's two hospitals. Each hospital location is numbered to correspond with the information on this page regarding that specific hospital.

Each hospital is rated for it's capacity in emergency medicine titled as a level of trauma center. Definitions for each level are below:

Level 1 - has the capability of providing leadership and comprehensive, definitive care for every aspect of injury from prevention through rehabilitation. In-house resources are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At any time, there can be found, in-house on-duty, a full surgical team.

Level 2 - A Level 2 Trauma Center has the capability to provide initial care for all trauma patients. There may be some complex cases which would be transferred for the depth of services available at a Regional Level 1 or Specialty Center. "On-call" resources are available during the night and weekend hours. At any time, there can be found, in-house on-duty, some members of the surgical team, but not a complete team.

Level 3 - A Level 3 Trauma Center is an acute care hospital that provides assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and triage of all trauma patients, arranging for timely transfer of those patients requiring the additional resources of a Regional Trauma or Specialty Center and delivering definitive care to those whose needs match the resources of the Community Trauma Center. "On-call" resources are available during the night and weekend hours. Most surgical team members must be called in.

A, B, and C Hospitals - A hospitals are hospitals in which have a large staff and can hold a large amount of patients. B hospitals are hospitals in which can hold an average or moderate amount of patients. A C hospital is one in which can hold a low or average amount of patients.
