Total Crew: 6 Firefighters
Special Training: Each member is a qualified specialized firefighter.
That means in addition to being trained firefighters they are also trained in
being either a primary diver or a backup diver. They are also qualified in both
confined space and high-angle rescue, advance vehicle extrication, urban rescue,
and are Hazardous Material Technicians. All members of this company are also
required to complete the Legoland Advanced Rope Rescue Course. This course includes high-rise scaffolding incidents, raising & lowering a Stokes basket, and extrication from shafts, tunnels, and confined spaces.
Specialized Equipment
This unit has vast cabinetry and has been nicknamed the "Toolbox" because of
this. Major equipment mounted to the truck includes a 32' telescoping light
tower w/ four 1500 Watt Lights, a mounted 25 KW generator, a 6-ton & 10-ton
mounted winch, and a refrigerator. Equipment carried within the truck includes
Level A personal protective equipment and immersion suits for Haz-Mat
operations, rigging gear, Hurst tools (Various tools & generators that are
portable and on carts), Amfire water drill, 10-ton Porto-Power,
cutting torches including an Arcair Slice Cutting System & exothermic torch,
various air lift bags, medical equipment, generators, lights, five types of
saws, 10 & 15-ton jacks, air manifold cart (includes wrench, hammer, chisel, and
pavement breaker), dog noose, electric drill kit, Man-In-Machine Kit, elevator
keys & elevator door hook, thermal imaging camera, Rabbit tool, Hydra-Ram tool,
a Dewalt Saw-Zall Kit,
electric Tac Stick, SCUBA equipment (4 sets of SCUBA, dry suits, fin suits, &
immersion suits; life vests; life preservers; underwater lights; and in-mask
communication system), an extensive amount of shoring & cribbing equipment, a SearchCam audio-visual system, a sound-powered telephone system, and a wide
variety of Hand tools. It also contains a Howell "Quick-Cut" air hammer, The
Legoland rope system, metering equipment (CO, explosi-meter, oxygen levels,
ect.), hand-lights, radios, and an inflatable boat.
