Overview
This proposal outlines a web site for Your Company designed to be maintained through a normal web browser. The site is designed to maximise Your Company' interface with its potential customers and business partners and maximise the benefits that you get through publishing information on the Internet.
It is intended that Your Company, or its agents, will take over the management of the site once it is developed or other arrangements can be made for monthly maintenance with our agency. It is recommended that the site be hosted on one of the free web hosting sites available to maintain your cost at a minimun, though we are prepared to work with the service provider of Your Company's choice. The service provider's charges are not included in our quote.
We offer a monthly maintenance contract. This covers the cost of one monthly meeting with Your Company, or its agent, and basic maintenance of the site. This means that you remain aware of new possibilities in this rapidly developing field of communications and are focused on a regular basis as to what your web site is acheiving.
The monthly maintenance does not include any redesign work, other than fine tuning the operation of the site. We have found that clients who build this cost into their budget get much better value from their web. Of course, many people prefer to keep their fixed overheads to a minimum and simply hire us at consultancy rates when they wish to improve their web.

Home page
This provides links to all other pages described here, and to the web sites of any industry associations with which you are affiliated and any business partners which Your Company wishes to promote. In general, it is a worthwhile making the effort to get these people to put a pointer back to your web. This increases traffic on your web, promoting your company further. We design compact home pages with impact, allowing those who visit your web to choose which information they wish to download. This makes it faster and more appealing for them to visit your web site.
Your Company page
This is the corporate profile incorporating mission statement, contact details, and any financials which you wish to make public.
Major Promotion pages
Most companies have one or two leading products or services wish they wish to promote more heavily than most. These should be highlighted on the home page and detailed on pages of their own. These pages can be as sophisticated as you like, incorporating sound, video and animation. This proposal assumes that in the initial instance you will want to try static pages mirroring information currently published on paper. Our design team ensures that these pages are designed for maximum impact despite the absence of more dynamic and expensive components.
Product catalogue/portfolio
A series of pages, each simplifiend and devoted to a specific product or service which you wish to promote. The initial page in the series is an index to the individual products or services. Each of the individual pages includes a graphical and text element and the ability for the person visiting your web to request more information or submit an order to Your Company or its agents. Again, there are very sophisticated cataloguing systems available from third parties for the World Wide Web. The simplest of these, we feel is to keep it basic so your cost stays low.
Order form
This form will produce an electronic mail sent internally to Your Company, or its agents, with information about the purchaser, products they are interested in and method of payment. The form will recommended that people print and fax it to Your Company or their agents complete with their credit card details or mail it electronically without credit card details.
This ensures the security of the transaction until secure transaction technology is readily available.
Extra resources page
This page is an index of computer files which you wish to make available but not publish as web pages. This can include large documents, spreadsheets, computer software, or links to such sites.
Customer support page
This will provide answers to frequently asked questions about your company and its services. The list of questions and answers can be supplied and maintained by Your Company or our agency. New questions can be submitted by people directly from this page in a bulletin board or via e-mail.
Background information
Many popular web sites include reference information about an industry, product or other aspect of the business in which Your Company is involved. These pages attract attention and visitors to your web site. Your Company will be seen to be providing a service to the general public and will be viewed as contributing to the usefulness of the World Wide Web as an information resource. As most companies have this information on file, the cost of producing these pages is very low. If there are information resources already available on the Internet, simply identifying the best of these and presenting links to them in a helpful and appealing manner will produce significant response.
Offline components
As well as the production of Your Company's web site, we can recommend and commission an Internet Service Provider, provide training for your staff or your agents, and recommend and commission networking consultants who can provide electronic mail and world wide web access across your corporate network so that Your Company can maximise its involvement with its own web site. We can also advise on marketing strategies that will allow you to promote and potentially profit from your web site. The most important of these extra activities are included in this proposal. We are available to discuss the other opportunities under a separate agreement.
Schedule
On receipt of a signed agreement, Diamond Professional Services will immediately request your domain name with us as the service provider or the service provider of your choice. This can take up to six weeks and can potentially delay the implementation of your web. If you choose not to sign this agreement your web site will be hosted by one of the free web hosts available.
Diamond Professional Services will produce a working web site of Your Company's web within three weeks of receiving a signed agreement. The balance is due on delivery of the web site. Diamond Professional Services will demonstrate and discuss your web site with Your Company on delivery. We will then make any requested changes and train those staff responsible for maintaining the dynamic elements of the web and your electronic relationship with your customers. With your cooperation, this process can be completed in one week and regardless of delays in implementation outside the control of Diamond Professional Services.
If major changes are required once the site is delivered, this agreement is to be renegotiated. Payment for the web site must be made before any work on the changes is undertaken.
