Kaylah was a twin, unfortunately I lost one when I was 5 months pregnant,I was told the fetus aborted itself, for some strange reason I was never hospitalized, neither was I sick or was the health of Kaylah threatned in anyway,I am sure my doctor is still amazed until this very day; All I can say it was the work of the Lord. When kaylah was born she weighed 9lbs 8ozs. I remember when they gave her to me, I remember cradling her in my arms and whispering to myself "Yes I know I will die for her. I know I will protect her with my life." There are times when I get frustrated at work and all I have to do is just look upon the top of my computer or the wall and look at her picture smiling back at me and I just feel better.
My Mom takes care of her during the day while I work My Mom works at night so that great for me at least I know she is properly taken care of by someone who loves her with all their heart.
If you are wondering "YES" I AM A SINGLE PARENT. No it's not easy but every time I look into her little eyes and hear her laugh, get hugs and kisses from her it gets easier by the minute. She has given me so much strenght to be the Mom I can be to her and everyday I look forward to waking up and taking care of her.
MY MOTHER
Meet my mother CLAIRE, She is theBEST MOTHER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. She is such a very strong Person I admire and respect her tremendously. All I can say is:
AIN'T NO MOTHER LIKE THE ONE I GOT".
Mom is a Fashion Designer by profession,and she also does some very creative art work such as Ceramics, Floral Arrangements, Upholstering etc.
She is a christian, very strong and faithful in the Lord. She gave birth to 5 Girls of which I an the Eldest. We were all born and raised in theBEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF JAMAICA She was a very strict but loving mother. She did not make fun to whip our butts whenever we misbehaved. Come to think of it even when we did not misbehave, LOL, in our minds as kids "we never misbehaved." We would get what "I" called "Just-in-case whipping". Meaning: If a child on our street did something wrong and was being spanked you bet your bottom dollar we will be getting a spanking too "Just in case it ever crossed our minds to do it too."
Believe it or not, we are now all the better for it. All the family values she has embedded in us, we have now grown to adapt and ahere to them
My Father's name is Abraham but everyone who knows him call him "uncle" he is stilling living in Jamaica. He loves it there, he visits the Unites States ever so often but refuses to live here. My father and I very close he is very witty and has the greatest sense of humor, I know that I have inherited that from him. We are very close and we love goofing off and playing tricks on each other.
My sister's names are: MICHELLE, AUDREY-DEAN, SHERDEAN and ANTONETTE; with Antonette being the baby at age 20. We are very close and we all live within a 2 mile radius from our mother, of all the 4 girls, Sherdean and I are the closest. We have a lot in common.

Sheardean is the 4th child, she is 22 years old and is a fashion designer by profession, she is currently finishing her Bachelors degree at Florida Atlantic University. She is very smart, funny, fiesty and very independent. I admire and respect her alot. I try to make myself available for whatever help she may need from me as an older sister.
