Powers: Airstryke was a human / pterodactyl hybrid, and possessed reptilian instincts, superhuman strength, sharp talons on his hands and feet, and could fly.

History: Petty criminal William Kavanagh was approached by Meta/Tech to become a research subject, and he agreed in hopes of attaining superhuman powers, and because he had nothing to loose. Meta/Tech transformed him into the human / pterodactyl hybrid Airstryke, and he became a foe of Hawkman.

(Green Lantern III #52) - Airstryke was among the meta-human prisoners freed from Slabside Island Penitentiary by Mongul.

(JLA #34) - Mageddon approached Earth, and sent a remote sender to Belle Reve prison, which drove Airstryke and the other prisoners berserk with rage, sparking off a riot. The JLA quelled the unrest.

(DCU Holiday Bash #3) - Airstryke’s wife and son visited him at the Slab on Christmas. He told them he had only eight more months to serve, and doctors told him metagene therapy might one day return him to normal. Later Airstryke helped Shrapnel escape prion so he could see his ex-wife and children during the holiday season.

(Outsiders III #6) - The Slab, Airstryke and his fellow inmates were offered transport to freedom as long as they helped Brother Blood fend off attacks while he used the Slab's GPS system to activate his cultist sleeper agents. Airstryke asked Blood what would happen if they refused, and Blood shot him in the head, killing him.
