History: (Demon I #1) - Occultist Randu and his wife Gomali attended a party at Jason Blood s Gotham apartment. The party ended when Merlin sent an Unliving to summon Jason away from Gotham. Singh sensed he was in trouble, and Singh used his ESP to activate Jason s mystic powers, turning him into the Demon and allowing him to defeat Merlin's enemy Morgaine Le Fay.

(Demon III #23) - Jason Blood told both Randu and Harry that he and Etrigan had agreed to put aside their differences, and were working together to find a way to separate from each other. Harry told Jason not to put too much faith in Etrigan playing fair. Jason also admitted that he hadn’t gone to see Glenda yet, and Harry told him she’d gotten a new job jewelry store. Jason heard howling in the night, and recognized the cry of his old foe the Howler, so he transformed into Etrigan to investigate. Glenda sold some fine pieces to gangster Pretty Boy Froyd, but after he left the jewelry store he was ambushed by the Howler, who gutted him. Etrigan and Robin battled the Howler, forcing him to flee. Glenda and the GCPD arrived on the crime scene, and Etrigan apologized to Glenda for all the harm he’d caused her, kissed her hand, and promised her he was now her friend. Glenda went to see Randu, and Anjeli served them tea. Glenda was angry when she learned that Jason had been to see him, but not her. She demanded he use his psi-powers to find Jason.

(Blood of the Demon #1-5) - Jason Blood visited Randu Singh and Anjeli, who prepared him for a rematch with Morgaine Le Fay's demons by spiritually attuning him to his quest. He interrupted a virgin sacrifice and was slaughtering the demons until their leader summoned an Elder God. As Jason transformed into Etrigan Randu sensed that Merlin s spell that made Etrigan a force for good vanished entirely upon his transformation. Jason mentally contacted Randu and told him neither he nor Etrigan were in total control, that they now had a balance of power. Anjeli drove Randu to the Demon's current location and they found him battling Batman. Randu managed to transform Etrigan back into Jason. Anjeli unlocked Jason s memories and he realized he had to find and destroy Morgaine. Morgaine took control of the Demon, so Randu turned him back into Jason long enough for him to destroy her.

(Blood of the Demon #6, 7) - Jason decided to forever imprison Etrigan, so he opened up a door to an extradimensional abyss. Randu sensed something was wrong with the forces of magic, the result of the Spectre-Force's war on magic. Jason was restored to full-human form, but the centuries of sharing a body with Etrigan left his human form ancient and withered. Jason was dying, and Randu researched the problem in Blood s arcane library, but found no solution. Harry Matthews arrived with the body of Merlin and Merlin s magical scrolls, restoring the balance between Jason and Etrigan and healing them.

(Blood of the Demon #8, 9) - Etrigan's dreaming mind was being held captive by the Dreamcatcher. Anjeli assisted Randu when he used a mystic sword to sever Demon s link with Dreamcatcher, allowing the Demon to incinerate the monster. The resulting backlash burned Demon's body to a crisp.

(Blood of the Demon #10) - Jason's death caused his protective spells on his Gotham apartment to crumble, and freed all manner of monsters. Randu used a safeguard left behind by Jason to freeze time around the apartment. Randu Singh and Harry traveled to the year 1885 and split the Demon of that era into two entities, and took one into the future to undo the damage. Anjeli was left behind to monitor the stability of time in the apartment, but when a nosy reporter barged into the apartment the snapshot of time ruptured, burning the building in a raging inferno.

(Blood of the Demon #13, 15) - Three months later the Old West Demon stopped Morgaine Le Fay from kidnapping Anjeli from the Gotham memorial hospital. He tore into Morgaine and was killing her, so Randu tried to turn him back into Jason. He threatened Anjeli, giving him enough time to flee and stay a demon.

(Blood of the Demon #13, 14, 16, 17) - The Old West Demon was captured and imprisoned by the Lord of the Damned. Randu and Harry found Jason s bones and reanimated him into a soulless being. They spent a year with the reanimated Demon searching for the Old West Demon, with Harry on the quests and Randu controlling the Demon from Gotham. During this year Randu regained his eyesight. Randu made another attempt to spend time with Anjeli, but she didn't want him to see her in her hideously burned and disfigured condition. Randu found his reanimated Etrigan hard to control, and psychic feedback knocked him unconscious and near death. Anjeli ran to Randu to take care of him when a Wishmonger appeared. The Wishmonger saved Randu's life because Anjeli thought of the wish, and she demanded payment in the form of one of Randu's books, which she burned. Randu thought of wishing that Anjeli were healed, so the Wishmonger made it so, and then once again blinded Randu. Anjeli used the Wishmongers to summon the Demon, who vanquished them and wished for a return to normalcy. Randu and Anjeli forgot their recent mystical adventures, and Randu resumed his post as U.N. ambassador.

Randu Singh's wife was named Gomali in her first appearance in Demon I #1, and not referred to by name in Demon III #4 and 23. She is first referred to as Anjeli in Blood of the Demon #1, but appears to be the same character.

Anjeli had a cameo in Demon III #4.
