History: (100 Bullets #25) - Anwar Madrid was a member of the Trust, the wealthiest and most powerful men and women in America. Augustus Medici called a meeting of the Trust in Atlantic City after learning from Mr. Shepherd that in addition to Agent Graves, Cole Burns of the Minutemen was still alive. Once the 13 families arrived Augustus began the meeting, reminding everyone of how the Minutemen was created to keep them in check, to make sure no family turned against the other. He said they once they started trusting each other the Minutemen became obsolete, and an impediment to their success. Javier Vasco felt the Minutemen had been necessary, and Augustus knew he felt that way because the group once settled a bloody dispute between his family and that of Axel Nagal, but assured him they were no longer needed. He denied that Graves and any other surviving Minutemen were a threat, and Daniel Peres told him Graves would come after him first because they'd once been close friends.
(100 Bullets #52-56) - Shepherd met with Trust member Anwar Madrid, warning him about Graves bringing the war to his doorstep. Anwar was still convinced that getting rid of the Minutemen had been good for the Trust, but Shepherd hinted that him siding with Augustus against Graves was for personal reasons, hinting at the fact that the Minutemen had killed his daughter Rose when she moved against the house of Medici, and Anwar reminded him he was talking to a dangerous and powerful man. Anwar emerged from a restaurant and spotted Dizzy Cordova and Wylie Times. He was furious that another Minuteman had showed up alive, so he called his muscle and followed them. Dizzy met with Agent Graves at the bar in the hotel where Wylie was staying, but she got distracted when she saw Anwar's men gathering outside. Graves said he wanted her full attention, so he strode outside, and once Anbwar saw him he ordered his men to flee, and they burned rubber. Wylie decided to put Shepherd down for killing his love Rose Madrid. Shepherd was meeting with Anwar, who was horrified that Graves was in town, and made it clear he didn't trust Shepherd. Wylie arrived at Madrid's mansion, using his sharpshooting skills to kill every one of his men before confronting Anwar and Shepherd. Anwar thought Shepherd set him up, and asked Wylie not to kill him, saying he could replace Shepherd as the Trust's warlord. Wylie wasn't interested, and shot him in the head.
