Powers: Like all demons Asmodeus was virtually immortal and possesed vast magical powers.

History: (Demon III #22) - Asmodeus was the firstborn of Lilith and an archduke of Hell. Witch Sybil Haden summoned him and attempted to bind him so she could order Asmodeus to get revenge on Annie Mojo, a rival witch. Asmodeus was too powerful for her to bind, and scoffed at her problems, but told her she'd have better luck trying to summon and bind the demon Etrigan, who lived in Gotham City.
