History: (Aztek: The Ultimate Man #8) - Dial "V" were superpowered mercenaries and D-list supervillains all in need of cash flow. AWOL had a mortgage to make, and thought his gimmick was funny because he'd never been a soldier. Lex Luthor hired them to stage a hostage situation at Vanity Wax Museum, and allow the hero Aztek to beat them. They groused about the job, especially when they realized how hard Aztek fought. They were carted off to jail, and Lex reneged on their deal. He didn't want to be tied to them, so he told his assistant to hire Hitman to take them out.
