History: (Marshal Law (Epic) #2, 3) - The Betrayer was a member of the Snake People, a lost white tribe of native South Americans who regarded treachery as a virtue. When missionaries had their first contact with the Snake People and exposed them to the New Testament the Snake People chose to worship Judas. During the U.S. military adventure in The Zone Hitler Hernandez and Betrayer committed genocide on the natives. After the war Betrayer and several other dangerous superheroes were locked up by S.H.O.C.C. in Psycho Silo Seven, which was located underneath the Superdrome, an amusement park that served as propaganda for S.H.O.C.C. and superheroes. Hero hunter Marshal Law was at the Superdrome, on the trail of serial killer Sleepman, who killed his girlfriend Lynn Evans and released the evil rejects locked up under the Superdrome, including the Betrayer, Blue Murder, Hitler Hernandex, Grimgram, Rimfire, Scapegoat and Slug Fest. They went on a murderous rampage and Marshal Law turned his attention to the escaped heroes, killing Blue Murder by shooting him through the chest Marshal Law gunned down Grimgram and Rimfire before he noticed the Sleepman and lost all interest in the others. Betrayer and Hernandez were free, but Betrayer kept calling up Marshal Law, offering to turn in Hernandez for thirty pieces of silver.
