Powers: Bibbo possessed extraordinary strength, and had a particularly thick skull. He was a strong brawler, and light in the brains department, but he had a heart of gold and always showed charity to those in need. Bibbo rode a Charlie Davidson motorcycle.History: (Who's Who In The DC Universe #12) - Bibbo was a mainstay on the Metropolis waterfront for over two generations, first as a boxer who had a good future in front of him, then as a longshoreman, and finally as owner of the Ace 'O Clubs tavern. . Rumors about his past abounded, some said he drifted into Metropolis from Milwaukee after landing in a bit of trouble , others said he was a descendant of Eastern European nobility. Bibbo himself was prone to outrageous claims, including being a relative of Billy the Kid, and once having been abducted by aliens. Bibbo was also a heavy drinker, and possibly wet-brained. Bibbo was legendary for the barroom brawls he started and finished.
(Adventures of Superman #428) - Superman came into the Ace 'O Clubs looking for info on who kidnapped Jerry White. Bibbo thought Superman was an imposter and punched him, but when he realized he was the real deal he told him how much he respected him for being so tough.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #5) - Superman battled Atomic Skull, who stole Bibbo's motorcycle to attempt a getaway.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #6) - Metropolis fell into riots and looting due to the blackout, and Bibbo helped Lois Lane and Prof. Hamilton escape the crowds so they could go in search of the amnesiac Superman.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #8) - Jimmy Olsen celebrated the Christmas season with Bibbo and his friends, and decorated Bibbo's bar and put up a Christmas tree.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #11) - To show appreciation for the missing Prof. Hamilton, one of his favorites, Bibbo visited Hamilton's girlfriend Mildred Krants in the hospital and brought her flowers.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #45) - One of Conduit's robotic duplicates attacked Bibbo's Ace 'O Clubs, but Superman stopped the villain before any damage was done.
(Adventures of Superman #524) -Bibbo applauded the bravery of Jimmy Olsen for breaking into Conduit's hq to film a story, and took a barstool to a customer who disagreed with him.
(Adventures of Superman #534) - Bibbo bought a sackful of lottery tickets for his friends, hoping they would have the same good fortune he did when he won the lotto.
(Aztek: The Ultimate Man #9) - Bibbo and his pals had a card game, oblivious to the rampaging Parasite outside.
(Superman: The Man of Steel #115) - The Alien Alliance transported Bibbo and every last citizen of Metropolis by zeta-beams to the orbiting space ark. It was an evacuation necessary because Metropolis would be a staging ground against Imperiex, who'd destroyed a number of alien worlds and was preparing to blow up Earth.

According to Larry Tye's Random House book Superman: The High-Flying History of America's Most Enduring Hero, Bibbo was based on creator Jerry Ordway's friend Jo Jo Kaminski.
