BIZARRO LOIS LANE (pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths)
Real Name: Bizarro Lois Lane
Class: Terrestrial construct
Occupation: Housewife
Group Affiliation: None
Known Relatives: Bizarro #1 (husband), Bizarro Junior (son)
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Bizarro World
First Appearance: Action Comics I #255 (August, 1959)
Powers: Bizarro Lois Lane was an imperfect duplicate of Lois Lane. She was made of unliving matter and had a backwards mind.
History: (Action Comics I #255) - Lex Luthor used a duplicator ray on Superman to create Bizarro, his imperfect and ugly double. Bizarro fell in love with Lois Lane and took her to a remote island, but she told him the only man she’d ever love was Superman. Bizarro said he’d fight Superman, and if she changed her mind about marrying him she could wave a white flag. Bizarro and Superman fought on the Sargasso Reef, firing cannon balls at each other until Lois waved the white flag. Superman saw who he thought was Lois embrace Bizarro and got choked up saying that he intended to marry her one day. This “Lois” was actually a Bizarro Lois Lane that Lois created by turning the duplicator ray on herself so Bizarro would have a companion. Bizarro and Bizarro Lois agreed that there was no place for them on Earth so Bizarro flew her into space, saying they’d find a world to live on in another solar system. Lois asked Superman if he meant what he said about marring her, and he replied that he meant he might consider it in the future, but not right now.
