Powers: Blacksmyth's body was composed of organic metal, giving him superhuman strength and durability. He could ride magnetic lines, giving him superhuman speed, and had a furnace in his chest that shot blasts of heat.

History: (Showcase '93 #3-5) - Blacksmyth used his craft to make himself into a walking forge, and he was vastly proud of his work. Galaxa, a devourer of worlds, wanted to capture the hero Blue Devil to use his techno-magic powers to summon Earth's worldseed. She contracted the Blacksmyth to capture Blue Devil, and after handily defeating the hero he locked him in a machine that slowly leeched away his lifeforce. Galaxa forced him to summon the worldseed, but Gaea empowered him to combat Galaxa and Blacksmyth. They held off Devil, and as Galaxa devoured the worldseed Blacksmyth wondered if she'd been honest when she promised to remake the world and make him master of Earth. Blue Devil recovered and defeated Galaxa, and the naive Blacksmyth was angry for losing his chance at being a planetary leader and attacked, but was bested by Devil, who severely damaged his metal form.
