History: (Aztek: The Ultimate Man #3 (fb)) - Liberty Lass and Mr. America made their mark as a crime-fighting husband and wife team that didn't know each other's secret identities. The couple became estranged, they both had serious anger issues and were prone to violence. With his wife gone Mr. America decided to adopt a new identity as Bloodtype.
(Aztek: The Ultimate Man #1) - Bloodtype was a brutal vigilante who had the gimmick of asking criminals what their bloodtype was before he killed them. He sometimes engaged in torture to send a message to the underworld, and he thoroughly enjoyed what he did. Piper, who was being forced to rob a bank to save his kidnapped daughter Mindy, was confronted by Bloodtype. He was about to gun down the helpless Piper when visiting hero Aztek changed into his combat gear and asked him to stop. Bloodtype styled himself the protector of Vanity, and didn't want anyone horning in on his action, so he attacked Aztek. Aztek hated the idea of superhero battles causing property damage and injuring civilians, so he short-circuited Bloodtype's weaponry, disabling him. Bloodtype had managed to get a few shots in on Piper, who lay dying. The damage Bloodtype caused resulted in a huge explosion, resulting in numerous casualties, and Bloodtype died on his way to the hospital. Aztek decided to become a true hero of Vanity.
