History:  Guardians of the Universe Ganthet and Sayd were cast out because unlike their fellow Guardians, they did not reject the power of emotions. On the planet Odym they forged a blue power ring to form the Blue Lantern Corps, whose power derived from the entity Odara, and the color blue, which in the emotional spectrum represented hope.
