(Constantine: The Hellblazer #9, 10) - Neron trapped John Constantine and Papa Midnite in Hell, and Blythe showed up to help them escape in exchange for taking her with them. Walking through Dis John gave himself away by smoking a cigarette, and they had to speed things up. Blythe used a blood signal to open the gate, and when Midnite told her to take her time John reminded him that his boyfriend Oliver's life was at stake, as Midnite had supposedly poisoned him to get John under his thumb. Midnite said voodoo took a price, so he didn't really poison Oliver, he just tricked John. John said everyone treated him like a commodity, and entered the gate, closing it behind him. Blythe couldn't believe Constantine screwed her over again. Blythe did make her way to Earth and NYC, and tracked down Oliver. He needed a babysitter for his girls because he wanted to help John save NYC from Neron, so Blythe posed as his ex's roommate and said she'd take good care of his children.
