History: Breathtaker was born an albino dwarf, apparently abandoned by his parents. Years of torment by his peers made him bitter, and as a young man he designed a powerful exoskeleton and assumed the identity of Breathtaker, determined to return a thousandfold the fear and terror he had known. Breathtaker became an influential underworld figure, forming the Assassination Bureau, a service supplying super-powered killers to anyone who could afford them. Breathtaker was hired by the 2000 Committee to capture Firestorm. Enjoying this challenge, he played a long cat-and-mouse game with Firestorm, attacking him with lesser Assassination Bureau agents before confronting him with Incognito and Mindboggler, his most powerful operatives. When these two failed, Breathtaker vowed to personally kill Firestorm. Instead, Firestorm destroyed the Assassination Bureau headquarters, putting an end to the Breathtaker's career. Breathtaker is currently serving a long prison term.
