Powers: Brother Blood was an extremely charismatic leader, and his clothing had circuitry installed in it that let him hurl bolts of energy. Thanks to the mystic cloak he wore, as more cultists joined his Cult of Blood his strength increased and his lifetime was extended.
History: During the fourth Crusade of 1202 a Zandian monk received the Cloak of Christ worn at the last supper, which had been corrupted with the powers of darkness. he wore the cloak into battle and gained strength taking his enemies blood, declaring himself Brother Blood. The Cult of Blood thrived in Zandia, and the title of Brother Blood passed from father to son, as the son slew the father. In the 1940s the current Brother Blood tried to kill his American wife and son, but they survived and fled to America. The woman remarried but was later killed by her husband, prompting the son to kill him, and return to Zandia, where he killed his biological father and established himself as the seventh Brother Blood.
Brother Blood had numerous clashes with the New Teen Titans.
(Outsiders III #4-6) - The House of St. Francis Monastery was actually filled with children of blood cultists, and while Blood feigned a peaceful existence as a monk he planned project Merytamon in which cultist sleeper agents would kidnap one million infants. Blood would raise these infants to be loyal to him and start a new nation populated by children of blood. The Outsiders learned of his plan, and Blood was forced to flee and blow up the St. Francis Monestary to try to cover his trail. He went to the Slab and offered the inmates freedom if they kept the Outsiders occupied while he used the Slab's GPS system to activate his cultist sleeper agents. The Outsiders foiled his plan and took him and his cult into custody. While being transferred to a prison the children of Blood decided Brother Blood's time was at an and, and stood by as Blood's son Sebastian stabbed him to death, earning the right to become the new Brother Blood.
(Teen Titans III #31) - Kid Eternity resurrected all seven of the current Brother Blood's predecessors from the grave, and they tore Blood to bits. With the threat of Brother Blood finished, Eternity returned his predecessors to the afterlife.
