History: <1960s> Brother Paul and Brother Nick had a tailor dummy in their squat, and after they were beaten up by a gang of toughs they put their clothes on it and it was forgotten for months. The dummy absorbed dust, rain and machine oil, and one night it was struck by lightning. This occurrence was meant to create a Plant Elemental, but because of the imperfect conditions, a Puppet Elemental was born. Nick and Paul named him Brother Power, and he became a protector of San Francisco's hippie communities. Lord Sliderule couldn't stand the free spirit Brother Power, and sent him into space on an experimental missile.

Brother Power's missile finally crashed back on Earth in the present day and he was devastated by the loss of ideals of the '60s. He went on a rampage until Swamp Thing's companion Chester, who also missed the '60s, told him to calm down. Brother Power went off wandering in search of America.
