History: (Fury of Firestorm #23, 24)-Blythe Bonner's mother Belle was a computer designer with a full workshop in the family garage. As a child Blythe and her brother Bernard accidentally touched two live wires together in the workshop, causing thousands of volts of pure electricity to surge through their bodies. The accident didn't kill them, but their father Frank blamed his wife and threw her out of the house. Blythe and her brother grew to hate their mother, believing that she had deserted them. 10 years later they discovered that their childhood accident had given them superpowers. They assumed the identities of Byte and Bug and set out to track down their mother and kill her. They were thwarted by Firestorm and Firehawk, which resulted in an argument between the siblings. Byte attacked her brother, grievously injuring him, but she was able to escape. Byte has not been heard from since.

(Villains United #1) - Deathstroke offered Byte and Bug membership in “Lex Luthor’s” Society, and they declined, so Deathstroke went after them with his sword.
