Powers: Bzzd was a fly-like extraterrestrial. As a Green Lantern, Bzzd wielded a power ring capable of doing almost anything he could imagine as long as it was recharged by his emerald power battery once every 24 hours. Examples of its' powers include flight, phasing, creating giant objects formed of energy, and force fields.

History(Green Lantern / Sinestro Corps: Secret Files #1) - Bzzd, one of the smallest green lanterns, was partnered with Mogo, the sentient planet that acted as the heart and soul of the Corps. Bzzd was under constant scrutiny by his fellow corpsmen because of his size, and was often kept busy by space pirates in his sector because Mogo's massive size kept him from traveling around the sector and providing backup.

(Green Lantern Corps II #15) - The sentient planet Ranz assailed Mogo, and Bzzd was prepared to defend his sector partner to the death, but the GLC arrived as reinforcements. Ranx was joined by the Sinestro Corps, and despite the GLC’s efforts Ranx ripped a hole in Mogo’s surface and sent in the Children of the White Lobe, the Sinestro Corps latest allies, so they could explode and destroy the power ring at Mogo’s core.

(Green Lantern Corps II #16) - Fearing the prophecy of the Blackest Night the Guardians rewrote the Book of Oa, allowing lethal force against the Sinestro Corps. Bzzd and the GLC were able to slaughter the Children of the White Lobe, and the Sinestro Corps suffered heavy losses. Sodam Yat destroyed Ranx, ending the threat to Mogo, and the Sinestro Corps turned their attention to Earth.

(Green Lantern IV #24, Green Lantern Corps II #17) - Bzzd and the GLC arrived on Earth to fend off the Sinestro Corps invasion of the planet. Dozens of Sinestro Corps soldiers were slaughtered across the planet, but the corpsmen were recalled to NYC, where the Anti-Monitor had arrived, planning on ruling the multiverse by ruling Earth.

(Green Lantern IV #25) - The Sinestro Corps War raged on Earth, and while Bzzd, the GLC and an army of superheroes battled the Corps the Anti-Monitor prepared to unleash an anti-matter wave to destroy Earth. With Earth’s destruction, the entire 52 would fall, and he would once again rule all that was. The GLC ruptured the heart of Anti-Monitor’s Warworld, the Sinestro Corps central power battery, and created a shield around Warworld and the Monitor. The ensuing blast nearly destroyed the Anti-Monitor, and he was finished off by Superman-Prime, who betrayed him for having destroyed his home, Earth-Prime. GL Hal Jordan defeated Sinestro in personal combat, and the Sinestro Corps, lacking any leadership, fled Earth. The heroes rejoiced and began rebuilding the damage the Sinestro Corps did.
