After her pimp Stan beat her bad enough to send her to the hospital she met GCPD Detective Flannery, who saw a lot of good in her. he introduced her to Ted Grant, the former mysteryman Wildcat, who taught her combat and self-defense so she could look after herself and gain confidence. When Batman first appeared in Gotham City she was inspired to create the Catwoman identity, becoming a street smart thief and adversary for the Dark Knight.

(JLA #119 (fb)) - Catwoman was briefly a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains.

(Catwoman III #50 (fb)) - The Justice League of America went behind Batman's back, and kidnapped Catwoman, who was quite close to him even though she was a criminal. Zatanna, reluctantly taking orders from Hawkman, planted a seed in Catwoman's mind to turn her from villain to hero.

(Joker #9) - Joker disguised himself as actor Benny Springer and arrived on the set of his new movie “The Cat and the Clown” intending to kidnap the stars Benny and his cat Hiawatha. Catwoman had the same idea, and knocked out Joker. She didn’t want Joker to interfere further so she clued him in to her location so she could confront him. In the meantime Benny escaped, and when Joker arrived he was disguised as Batman, but Catwoman again saw through him. Benny returned, disguised as Joker so he could rescue Hiawatha, and Catwoman stunned Joker with a tranquilizer dart, thinking he was really Benny. Benny revealed himself, trapped Catwoman in a cage, and phoned the police.

(Batman I #308) - Bruce Wayne attended to Wayne Foundation business when Selina Kyle walked into his office. She told Bruce she’d recently been paroled and wanted to do something positive with the rest of her life. She had a fortune she wanted to invest in the Wayne Foundation, but Bruce objected that her money was dirty. She assured him it came from an inheritance, and he still balked that it wouldn’t be good for his public image, and Selina blew up saying she’d already paid her debt to society. Bruce relented, reasoning that she deserved a second chance at life and he shouldn’t stand in her way. Selina told Bruce they could talk more about business over dinner, and Bruce realized that he’d never been closer to any woman than Selina except Silver St. Cloud and wondered if romance with her might be in the future. Bruce met with Lucius Fox, asking him to compile a dossier on Selina to learn everything he could about her.

(Batman I #310) - Selina Kyle called up Bruce Wayne, asking for a lunch date to discuss her planned investments in the Wayne Foundation. Bruce noted to himself how open she seemed unlike the cold and calculated Catwoman he once knew, and hoped she had actually given up on her life of crime.

(Batman I #313) - Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle attended a publicity event for Gotham’s Children’s Telethon, with Bruce presenting a huge check for the charity. Bruce and Selina went out to dinner and Selina was pleased that he wasn’t embarrassed to be seen with a former criminal in public. Selina admitted it was thrill-seeking and an interest in getting Batman’s attention that drove her to a life of crime, but she insisted she was her own woman now. Bruce and Selina admitted having feelings for each other and ended the date with a kiss.

(Batman I #314) - Selina called on Bruce at the Wayne Foundation, but was told by his secretary Gwen that he was away on urgent business. Bruce’s business partner Lucius wanted to have a word with her, and told Selina he had a dossier on her that let him know all about her time as the criminal Catwoman. He warned her that Bruce Wayne was a friend of his, and he didn’t want to see him taken advantage of. Selina was insulted by the insinuation and stormed off, and Lucius worried that he might have acted out of turn

(Batman I #315) - Bruce met Selina for lunch and she told him she knew he had Lucius compile a dossier on her, and was angered by his invasion of her privacy. Bruce asked her to consider his position concerning her past life as a criminal. Selina didn’t care that he told her he trusted her now, she threw a drink in his face and stormed off.

(Batman I #317) - Bruce bribed Selina’s doorman to let her into her apartment, and he told her he wanted to make up with her. Selina was furious at his presumption, and kicked him out. He said he was willing to forgive her mistakes as Catwoman, but was sad she couldn’t forgive him being skeptical of her. Selina thought she was being too tough on Bruce and said they could put past differences aside, and they kissed.

(Batman I #318) - Bruce attended a raucous party with Selina aboard an airplane. When they landed Selina noticed another plane unloading Egyptian artifacts dedicated to the cat-goddess Bast bound for the Riverside Museum. Selina said once upon a time those artifacts wouldn’t have been safe from her, but promised Bruce those days were over even though she couldn’t keep her eyes off the goods.

(Batman I #319) - Bruce Wayne decided to reopen Wayne Manor and move back in. He threw a charity costumed ball with Alfred preparing the gala. Bruce dressed as Henry VIII and greeted Selina Kyle, dressed as Catherine of Aragon and Lucius Fox, dressed as Abraham Lincoln. Bruce was pleased that Selina and Lucius were able to bury the hatchet, making the attempt to get along. Gentleman Ghost attempted to rob the ball, but Bruce slipped away, changed into Batman, and foiled him.

(Batman I #321) - Joker planned his own birthday celebration by kidnapping Batman’s friends. He disguised himself as a woman in need of a tire change to lure in Robin, who found the tires of Joker’s car were coated in super-sticky taffy. He flooded the GCPD precinct with laughing gas and made off with Commissioner Gordon. Alfred Pennyworth, Lucius Fox and Selina Kyle were all waiting at the Wayne Foundation for Bruce, and Selina complained that the headaches she was suffering from were growing more severe. Joker blasted his way in with dynamite, and assuming Selina was there to rob the Wayne Foundation he sincerely apologized if he’d ruined a scheme of hers before knocking her out with a spring-loaded boxing glove hidden in a bouquet of roses before taking Fox and Pennyworth with him. At Joker’s Ha-Hacienda he gloated about killing everyone who ever crossed him while all of Gotham watched. He broke out into uproarious laughter, and when he noticed one of his hired goons wasn’t laughing along with him he shot him in the head. Joker organized the Harlequin Bakery Show at the Seaside Coliseum, advertising free samples and drawing an enormous crowd. Joker had his henchmen lock all the doors to the building before revealing himself and showing off a giant birthday cake with his kidnapees all ties to candles. A detonator was set to light the candles ablaze, but Batman revealed he was in the audience, and agreed to surrender and allow  Joker to tie him to a candle in exchange for releasing his friends. Joker went back on his word, but Batman freed himself and severed the fuses of the candles with his batarang. Joker fled on a motorboat with Batman in pursuit, and his boat exploded when it collided with rocky shoals. Commissioner Gordon asked Batman if he thought Joker was dead, but Batman doubted it.

(Batman I #322) - Selina Kyle was diagnosed with a rare incurable disease she’d picked up during her career of thievery by Doctor Douglas Dundee. He mentioned that it the ancient Egyptians were able to cure it with rare herbs, but their secret was lost to history. The Riverside Museum had a show on Egyptian treasures including jars shaped like cats from a physician’s tomb. The docent said it was theorized the hermetically sealed jars contained preserved herbs and Selina struggled with the impulse to steal them for a shot at saving her life. She called up Bruce Wayne for support, but Alfred informed her he wasn’t home and she just asked that he tell Bruce Selina loved him. Catman ended up burglarizing the jars and scratching a guard, who mistook him for Catwoman in the dark.

(Batman I #323, 324) - The GCPD named Selina Kyle as the main suspect in the Riverside burglary and Batman, feeling heartbroken, felt that he no choice but to be the one to arrest her. Selina protested her innocence even though Batman promised her that if she turned herself in he’d help her prove her innocence. Selina said she wouldn’t live long enough to see a trial and lobbed her cat at Batman. The cat tried to scratch his eyes, giving Selina enough time to escape her apartment. She showed up as Catwoman at the Wayne foundation, begging Bruce to just trust in her innocence, saying she had need of his resources. Bruce said he loved Selina, not Catwoman, and asked why she was wearing her old costume. She replied that it made what she had to do easier. Bruce promised her the finest lawyers money could buy, and she told him he didn’t understand her situation and was as useless as Batman before leaving. Batman revisited the Riverside Museum to see if the police missed any evidence and discovered a suspicious fiber. He analyzed it in the Batcave, telling Alfred he was becoming more and more convinced that Selina was innocent. Catwoman visited Pinch, a fence she knew, and said he was going to help her with her problem. He told her about the Apex Import and Export warehouse, under which were catacombs used by bootleggers during prohibition. Catwoman found her headaches becoming more intense and her health deteriorating. Batman met her in the catacombs, and after a brief scuffle and avoiding a few bootlegger boobytraps he convinced her he was there to help. The fell through a trap door into a giant cat’s cradle made of adhesive polymer, and Catman revealed himself, bragging about having them where he wanted them. Catwoman begged Catman to give her the Egyptian urns he stole, saying her life depended on it. Catman said her life and Batman’s were at an end and activated a motor that started stretching the cat’s cradle, threatening to pull Batman and Catwoman apart limb from limb. Catman left them, and Batman threw a batarang at him, but it only managed to clip the heel of his booth. Batman freed himself and Catwoman with a penknife hidden in hid utility belt, but by the time he got to her Catwoman was seriously injured. He took her to the Batcave to get medical treatment and to analyze the piece of Catman’s boot he’d sliced off with the batarang. Catwoman awoke in the Batcave, amazed at seeing it for the first time and saying it was everything she thought it would be. Batman told her Catman had soil on his boots native to the Ionian Islands of Greece and said he was going after him. Batman insisted she recover in the Batcave, but she pointed out that she could be dead by the time he came back, and if he tried to keep her cooped up she’d simply escape, so he agreed to let her go with him. Catwoman flirted with some Greek dock workers and learned the Ionian Islands were all owned by millionaire Andros Akropolis, who was also a collector of ancient artifacts. They realized Catman’s plan was to sell his loot to Akropolis. Catman met Akropolis on his motorboat, showing up with only one of the Egyptian pieces he’d stolen, fearing Akropolis would double-cross him. In return for all the treasures he stole Catman wanted the deed to an abandoned island in the Ionian chain. He planned on retiring there and making it a haven for wanted criminals in exchange for a portion of their loot. Akropolis, his men and Catman landed on the island and Catman showed them the hot springs geyser where he’d hidden his loot. Akropolis pulled a gun on him, and Batman and Catwoman showed up. Akropolis emptied his clip, but Catman managed to escape thanks to the supposedly mystic cloak that gave him nine lives. Akroplis told Batman he was only trying to recover the artifacts for the U.S. government and Batman couldn’t prove otherwise. He said Batman and Catwoman were trespassing and warned them to get off his island before he sped away in his motorboat. Catman was hiding nearby and put his clawed glove to Catwoman’s throat, demanding they help him escape in the Batplane. Catwoman told him she needed the herbs he had to live, but he said he wasn’t in the mood for making bargains. Realizing she had nothing left to lose Catwoman stomped on his foot with her stiletto heel, and he fell into a hot spring geyser, seemingly to his doom. Before he fell Catwoman managed to rip off a piece of his cloak. Catwoman’s health deteriorated and Batman brought her back to Gotham to be treated by Dr. Dundee. Bruce Wayne visited her, and Dundee said she had a miraculous recovery. Selina chalked it up to having the remains of Catman’s cloak. Bruce thought there had to be an explanation besides magic, but he couldn’t think of one.

(Batman I #326) - Selina told Bruce she’d been thinking about her future while she was in the hospital, and decided she was leaving him and Gotham City. Everything she tried to do to redeem herself was sullied by Catman, and Bruce didn’t trust her enough to believe she was innocent. Bruce said he wanted to trust her and Selina replied that wanting and doing were two different thinks. Selina hoped being away from Gotham would clear her head, and said she might return one day. Alfred drove Bruce home, and he wondered what was wrong with him after losing fulfilling relationships with Silver St. Cloud and Selina. Alfred responded that the life of Batman wasn’t an easy one even though it was the life he had to live.

(Batman I #332) - Batman moved Talia al Ghul into the Wayne Foundation, and a furious Robin packed his bags, ignoring Batman’s pleas to think things over. Talia said it might be for the best that he head out on his own, and Batman replied that he worried about Robin, fearing he was too headstrong. Robin needed someone to talk to who knew Batman, and decided to approach Catwoman, outlining his concerns that Talia was manipulating him. Catwoman and Robin decided to see what Talia was up to by investigating Gregorian Falstaff. Falstaff and Batman had a confrontation where Talia caused the villains death. She admitting that Falstaff once worked for her father Ra’s al Ghul, and Batman was suspicious that she was glad Falstaff was dead so he couldn’t elaborate on that relationship. Robin and Catwoman arrived at the scene in time to see Batman and Talia embrace, and Catwoman decided they had to leave, reeling because she still had feelings for Batman.

(Batman I #332) - Catwoman, determined to find out who Falstaff worked for, and suspecting Talia, shadowed his right hand man Karlyle Krugerrand. Krugerrand’s men stole chemicals from the Roxanne Chemical Warehouse before breaking into the Northern Division Power Station and unloading chambers imprisoning human test subjects. Krugerrand activated the plant’s electrical generator, intending to use it and the chemicals to turn his subjects into a new batch of mutates to serve his master. Catwoman fought him and he fell into the generator, causing an explosion that killed him and the test subjects. Catwoman was frustrated that she was no closer to finding out who the mastermind behind the scenes was. Talia had been shadowing Catwoman, and laughed at her failure.

(Batman I #333, 334) -Robin and Catwoman convinced Ron Watkins t hand over state's evidence in return for amnesty, admitting he targeted the Wayne Foundation because he was on Gregorian Falstaff’s payroll, not because Bruce Wayne was a slumlord. Commissioner Gordon was pleased with Robin’s work, and informed him that he’d been listening to a special radio band Batman gave him and King Faraday wanted to see Robin in Shanghai for a matter concerning his mentor. Faraday explained that a decade ago his partner Archer Templeton vanished. They promised each other that should either of them disappear they’d try to contact the other with a secret radio band. Two days ago Faraday finally picked up a message from Archer, leading him to Infinity Island in the Indian Ocean. Archer was nowhere to be found, but Faraday found his lifeboat, with the word “Batman” scrawled on it. Robin made it clear he was only reluctantly working with Faraday, knowing how calculated and cold-blooded he was in fulfilling his duty. Faraday led them to his contact Quo-Quing, who’d been gunned down by an assassin. Robin and Catwoman failed to catch the killer and when they returned to Quo-Quing they found Faraday had been abducted. Catwoman decided her fence and informant in Hong Kong could help them figure out their next move. They met Chin Ho, who invited them to talk, but drugged their tea and had them bound. Chin knew Catwoman always disapproved of his living as an opium dealer and once interfered in his drug trafficking, so he decided to gain a measure of revenge on her, ordering his men to inject Catwoman and Robin full of cocaine. Catwoman used her claws to cut their binds and easily captured Chin. They found Chin had Faraday prisoner, and freed him. The trio made their way to Infinity Island, where three spheres engulfed them, dropping them in the mines underneath the island. The mines were filled with slave labor being whipped by mutate overseers. Batman and Talia had been in Hong Kong investigating Falstaff’s background, and Batman ended up kidnapped and tossed in the mines as well by Falstaff’s master. They fought off the mutates and made their way to find Talia al Ghul. She promised she was never Batman’s enemy and had come to Infinity Island to save him, but her youth was fading and she was aging for evry minute she lived. She reunited with the mastermind, her father Ra’s al Ghul, who restored her youth. He offered Batman eternal youth if he served him, but warned that if he rejected his offer Batman and his friends were all as good as dead.

(Batman I #335) - Batman said he agreed to serve Ra’s, and Ra’s sent his companions back to the mines. Ra’s said Talia was ready to betray him for Batman, and batman would be responsible for her punishment. Ra’s assistant Saltzer told Ra’s he was being played, and Ra’s was well aware that Batman was lying, knowing the caped Crusader could never truly serve him just as Ra’s could never join him, but he respected his enemy and was interested in what plan he had to defeat him. Ra’s showed Batman the Lazarus Pit he’d discovered centuries ago, and after learning to harness its power it granted him immortality. The Lazarus Pit only worked on Ra’s, and would destroy anyone else that tried to bathe in its fiery waters. Ra’s first decided to go after Bruce Wayne when he learned Wayne Enterprises had acquired Infinity Island as part of its’ holdings, and cursed Falstaff for having failed him. During his research on Wayne enterprises he’d first learned that Batman was Bruce Wayne. Ra’s dipped his hand in the Lazarus Pit and extended it to Batman, offering him immortality. Batman rejected him, and Ra’s ordered his mutates to beat Batman. Faraday, Robin and Catwoman escaped the mines again, and Talia came to their aid, leading them to Ra’s lab where he had Batman in a containment unit, intending to transform him into a mutate. They saved Batman and subdued Ra’s. Ra’s said he always wanted Talia and Batman to fall in love, but never anticipated her being more loyal to him than her own father. Saltzer burst in and shot Talia, and Ra’s reacted by snapping Saltzer’s neck. Ra’s immersed her in the Lazarus Pit, hoping a brief exposure would heal her instead of destroying her, and his gambit aid off. Ra’s still blamed Batman for turning his daughter against him, and demanded a duel. Batman accepted, telling Faraday, Catwoman and Robin to leave because he had to handle the situation himself. Ra’s tried to push Batman into the Lazarus Pit, bemoaning that after he killed his nemesis it would take decades to find another worthy opponent. Batman overpowered him and Ra’s fell into the pit. He emerged burning up and having been driven mad by his bath in the pit, completely focused on killing Batman. Batman forced him back into the pit, causing an explosive reaction that set off volcanic activity that destroyed the island. Batman and company survived by flying off the island on a helicopter. Bruce Wayne recovered at home and Talia said she had to leave him, wanting to find her own way after the death of her father. Robin decided to return home and spend some quality time with Bruce.

(Showcase '93 #1-4) - Catwoman was hired by her client Starkey to steal a painting, but after breaking into the art museum where it had been housed she found it gone, and the burglar alarm set off, bringing the police. She felt like she'd been set up and fled back to her apartment. She met with Starkey, who thought she was trying to play him for more money and had his goons attack her, but she subdued them. Back home she was shocked to witness her roommate Arizona's cats crash through her window before dying. She took them to a vet, ho told her they'd overdosed on meth. She visited her friend, former working girl Hester, and learned that Ramon Bracuda was taking over all the Brideshead rackets, including meth labs and chop shops. She witnessed drug dealers gunned down by Bracuda's men for competing ith him, and attacked them. She soundly beat them, telling them Brideshead belonged to her, and the neighborhood cheered her on for standing up to the man everyone else was afraid of. At home she found that Arizona had been badly beaten. She'd discovered that Bracuda's men were dumping contaminated meth in their apartment's dumpster, which was the cause of her cats' death, and one of Bracuda's men found her snooping. She tended to Arizona and told her to lay low, knowing Bracuda would be gunning for Catwoman after what she did to his men. Catwoman learned that Bracuda had bought up all the businesses of "Sorrow Street," using them as fronts. She tried to talk to the former owners, who had been squeezed until they gave up their livelihoods, but they had their on plans of revenge and didn't ant Catwoman involved. Catwoman trailed one of Bracuda's men, hoping to learn more, but he spotted her and opened fire. Catwoman survived the encounter, and reached out to the police to do something about Bracuda, but she met resistance in dirty cops who'd been bought by Bracuda. Catwoman fought off a group of rogue cops, and was aided by Robin, who she sent to Commissioner Gordon, who promised to root out the dirty cops. Catwoman did more surveillance on Bracuda's front shops, and learned that Bracuda had the painting she was hired to steal, but witnessed a violent confrontation between the former shop owners and Bracuda's men. She aided the former shop-owners, and was once again hailed as a hero, even though he main concern was getting her painting. The GCPD arrived to bust up Bracuda's men, and Catwoman broke into Bracuda's apartment above his shops. After a violent fight he agreed to give her back the painting and leave Storrow Street, knowing that if they kept fighting the GCPD would arrest him. Catwoman realized Bracuda had hired Starkey to frame her, and she took it out on Starkey's hide before stealing tens of thousands of dollars from him and returning the painting to the museum.

(DCU Holiday Bash #1) - On Christmas eve Catwoman was in disguise in Sutlive’s Pub to gather underworld information and overheard Harry Rodley, who was looking to kill Maria Sawyer because her husband killed his brother in Blackgate. Catwoman found this distasteful, o she found Sawyer, jumped in a car with her when Rodley approached, and faked their deaths driving off a ridge. Getting into the Christmas spirit Catwoman ued funds from a recent theft to help Sawyer relocate.

(Catwoman II #46, 47) - Alley-Cat showed up at Zee's house, and Catwoman tied up her imitator, not trusting her. She-Cat had a first edition of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde owned by Robert Louis Stevenson, and was looking for a buyer. Catwoman didn't like the idea of Zee doing business with her, but Alley-Cat pleaded, and Catwoman allowed Zee to look for a buyer as long as she took half the cut. Moreland was getting closer to understanding Catwoman with his psych profile, and Selina was none too pleased. She needed to distract him, and they kissed, and he admitted he'd fallen for her. She said she didn't want to rush things, and had to leave him because she had a previous engagement. Zee's man Starkey had a potential buyer, and Alley-Cat and Catwoman provided protection. The buyer turned out to be Two-Face, and when he failed to steal the book he set Starkey's bootleg whiskey ablaze before fleeing. Catwoman saved the book, escaped the blaze, and told Two-Face's goons she was willing to trade with Two-Face at midnight. Now interested in taking down the villain and not fencing, Catwoman told Zee the deal was off. Alley-Cat said the book belonged to her and attacked her. Zee protested as their scrap destroyed his precious objects d'art, and told Alley-Cat he wasn't doing business with her anymore. While Catwoman waited for Two-Face she found that she couldn't get Moreland out of her mind. She got the drop on Two-Face and defeated him, but Alley-Cat had followed her, and demanded the book back. Catwoman was in no mood for another round, so after throwing a clusterbomb at Alley-Cat she knocked her out with a kick to the head. She left the book on Mooreland's doorstep, further convincing him that Catwoman was not all bad.

(Hitman #15-17) - The disguised demon Mawzir hired Catwoman to steal the Ace of Winchesters from the Gotham Museum of Antiquities. Mawzir ambushed Hitman and his friend Natt the Hat, threatening to drag them to Hell, but they escaped him. Hitman and Natt were staying at the Hotel Remington, and he Hitman wanted to get a hold of Catwoman, because he’d seen images of her when he read Mawzir’s mind. He used a cat that got hit by a car and a searchlight on top of the hotel to create a makeshift cat-signal. Catwoman showed up, although she wasn’t thrilled with the way she’d been summoned. After talking she realized that the man who hired her to steal the Ace of Winchesters from the Gotham Museum and then vanished in a puff of brimstone was Mawzir in disguise. She agreed to help Hitman and Natt take down the demon because she didn’t work with bad guys and she didn’t like being used. Hitman figured they could use Jason Blood’s help, and told Catwoman to call him posing as a nun whose convent was haunted. When Catwoman left Hitman and Natt cooed over her, having both been smitten with her looks. Blood believed Catwoman’s story, and when he arrived in Gotham he was met by Hitman, who reminded him that he owed him two million dollars or at the very least a big favor. Sean Noonan allowed the group to use Noonan’s after hours to discuss strategy. Blood explained that the Ace was forged by an occultist and former Texas Ranger. The prairies of his time had become infested with demons, drawn to the sites of evil perpetrated by colonization, and the Ace of Winchesters was capable of killing them. Blood surmised that Mawzir wanted to keep the gun out of Hitman’s hands. Deborah Tiegel showed up, telling Hitman they had to talk about her admitting to her feelings the night before. Mawzir’s men spotted Hitman’s group and phones their boss. Mawzir and his gang attacked Noonan’s, and Hitman and company fled in Natt’s car. They drove to St. Joe’s cathedral, knowing Mawzir couldn’t enter sacred ground. Mawzir sent his men in and Hitman and company engaged them in a firefight. Hitman said he needed the Ace, and Jason suggested it was in Hell with Mawzir’s masters. Hitman asked Jason to change into Etrigan the Demon to retrieve it, and the thought horrified Jason, who said he had as little to do with Etrigan as possible. Jason reluctantly demanded Demon retrieve the Ace from the Arkannone, threatening him if he didn’t comply. The GCPD sent squad cars to St. Joe’s and Mawzir ordered his men to raze the church so it would no longer be sacred ground. Mawzir slaughtered the GCPD officers in a hail of bullets. In Hell Etrigan was greeted by Kakk, who wondered why he no longer rhymed. Etrigan revealed that his heart was gone, so he felt little pleasure in anything, let alone rhyming. Etrigan asked after Baytor, and Kakk was saddened to report that the Crown of Horns had only made his insanity worse, and he was incapable of ruling Hell in any meaningful way. Kakk accompanied Etrigan to Baytor’s castle, where Baytor unleashed his acid spew, disintegrating Kakk. Etrigan wrested the Crown away from Baytor, who was happy to be his normal level of insane again. Mawzir’s men started ramming the church with their cars, breaking down the walls. Sixpack showed up, offering his help and brandishing a broken beer bottle. He narrowly avoided being gunned down by Mawzir’s help, and Hitman begged him to leave and get to safety. Sixpack said he’d be back, because he was putting his old team Section 8 back together.

(Hitman #18-20) - Etrigan, with Baytor tagging along, confronted the Arkannone and demanded the Ace of Winchesters. The Arkannone responded by summoning a giant gun and shooting Etrigan, leaving him a smoldering pile of bones. Etrigan was healed by the Crown of Horns and forced the Arkannone into a confrontation. The Arkannone realized they were outmatched and contacted Mawzir, demanding he return to Hell and protect them. Mawzir told them no because all he cared about was vengeance on Hitman, and that he was tired of being their pawn anyway. Etrigan ripped the Arkannone to pieces, threw down the Crown of horns, and claimed the Ace. Jason Blood told Hitman and company he’d need a few more hours to transport the Ace from Hell. Hitman said they didn’t have that much time and told him to summon Etrigan. Blood refused, so Hitman restrained him, and used the spell needed to turn Blood into Etrigan that he’d found while reading Jason’s mind. Jason was furious, but events had gone beyond his control. Etrigan seemed pleased to see Hitman, who was already regretting his decision to summon him. Etrigan threatened Hitman, who reminded him they were on sacred ground. Etrigan scoffed, saying he had no fear of bringing the wrath of angels down, and breathed fire, starting a fire in St. Joe’s. Etrigan told Hitman he’d give him the Ace in exchange for his heart, which Jason Blood kept in a box, but neither trusted the other to make the first transaction. The demonfire desecrated the church, enabling Mawzir and his men to storm it, so Tommy and his friends fled to the church’s crypt. Mawzir was surprised to see Etrigan, wo promised him he wasn’t there to interfere because he hated Hitman too. Mawzir was well aware Etrigan had destroyed his masters and said he knew what every demon in Hell knew, that Etrigan was never to be trusted. Sixpack reassembled his old superhero team, Section Eight, who made the scene, and despite their outward ridiculousness they held their own against the mobsters, brutalizing them in different ways. Etrigan realized Baytor had escaped Hell by stowing away in his cape and let the demon know he didn’t appreciate him messing with the possessions in his cowl. Mawzir got tired of the situation and detonated an explosive that blew up the church. Catwoman was injured and Mawzir took Deborah Tiegel hostage. Hitman, seeing no other choice, handed over Etrigan’s heart to the demon. Hitman aimed the Ace of Winchesters at Mawzir, who was terrified, but an empty click let him know the gun was unloaded. Mawzir started battering Hitman, promising to take him to Hell and torture him for eternity. Demon, with his hear6t back in his chest, was pleased that he was whole again and had betrayed someone he had a grudge against. Baytor had made off with the Ace’s ammunition and refused to give it back to Etrigan, hissing at him. Catwoman posed seductively, convincing Baytor to give her the ammo, which she tossed to Hitman. Hitman shot Mawzir with the Ace, and he was once again the group of damned Nazi soldier souls. The Nazis pleaded that they were only following orders, and Hitman executed every one of them with a handgun. Etrigan was tempted to attack Hitman, but knew he didn’t dare risk being shot by the Ace and changed back into Blood. Jason cursed Hitman for making the Demon whole again, saying he’d increased his burden a thousand fold. Catwoman mocked him, saying he should have paid Hitman the two million he owed him in the first place. Section Eight survived the church explosion, and even though they were all injured to some degree, with Defenestrator having lost his arm, Sixpack told Hitman they were still in fighting shape. Sixpack was proud of his team, and told them he’d bring them together again the next time evil and injustice needed avenging. Hitman, Natt, Catwoman and Deborah celebrated their victory at Noonan’s. Hitman asked Sean if Baytor could stay at Noonan’s until he found his own place. Sean was hesitant, worried that he’d scare off customers. Hitman reminded him that a giant space monster ate the sun during final night, and people got used to weird things, so Sean let him stay. Hitman offered to give Catwoman the Ace, saying she could get a hefty price for it, but she said she had a feeling he might be in need of a gun that killed demons again, and told him he wasn’t a half bad person for a hired killer. Etrigan surprised Hitman, and admitted he liked him because he always had an interesting time when they met, but warned him that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try to kill him again one day, because he always held on to his grudges.

(Catwoman II #48, 49) - Zee presented Catwoman with a real challenge, infiltrating the terrorist organization S.P.I.D.E.R. in the Riviera and absconding with their riches. Zee reminded her she owed him for destroying her valuables, and she figured she could get away from Gotham for a while to keep her mind off Moreland. Using her scuba-suit she broke into S.P.I.D.E.R. 's undersea lair, but Morella, their leader, had been observing her through hidden video cameras, and offered her a job. She was agog at seeing all the riches they had, and decided to play along while thinking about how to steal the most valuables from them. She stole a Toltec crystal skull from them, but then determined to have it for herself. Clutterbuck delivered her a device to jam S.P.I.D.E.R. 's surveillance tech. Morella was going to use the crystal skull for psychological warfare, disrupting the politics of South America so she could raid it. Catwoman got her hands on the skull, but was confronted by Morella's henchmen Widow and Spider. Catwoman was cornered, and Morella tried to feed her to sharks, so Catwoman was forced to flee without the skull, and escaped the lair in a speedboat. She knew they'd never suspect her breaking back in, so that's what she did, and contacted Zee, telling him to send the coast guard by midnight. She gathered a huge sack of loot, including the crystal skull, and activated the lair's self-destruct sequence. Morella battled her, and slashed at her with poison-tipped claws, but Catwoman turned the weapon on its user. As the clock ticked down S.P.I.D.E.R. evacuated, amd Catwoman used her scuba-suit to swim away with her loot unnoticed. Unfortunately she'd gotten greedy, and was barely able to swim with the heavy treasures she was lugging. As she dumped some items an octopus grabbed her, and she spilled most of her plunder, including the skull. Back on dry land she was disappointed with what she had left, but later cheered up, adorning herself with some ill-gotten jewlery and working on her tan.

(Catwoman II #50) - Zee gave Catwoman an easy heist job, but it was interrupted by Cyber-Cat, who'd been stalking her for weeks, and who wanted revenge for Catwoman making her look bad in front of Syntex. Catwoman was no match for her in close combat, and was forced to flee, battered and shredded by Cyber-Cat's claws. She managed to tail Cyber to her hideout before going to see Zee about getting patched up. Zee was with his new girlfriend Ulrika, who was already sick of hearing him talk about Catwoman. Catwoman returned home to rest, and had an identity crisis, no longer sure of why she was still a thief. She knew her awful upbringing didn't really entitle to take whatever she wanted, and some of the thrill of the chase was gone. She reflected that she might need love, and not items to fill the void she felt. She had dinner with Moreland, even though she was sick of hearing him talk about Catwoman, and they started to get intimate, but Selina once again backed off and left him to sleep in her own apartment. Clutterbuck created a robotic exoskeleton for her so she'd stand a fighting chance against Cyber-Cat. It was loaded with hi-tech weapons like a retractable whip and wrist-mounted explosives, but she said it really wasn't to her taste, and reminded her too much of the suit Azrael wore when he was Batman. She ambushed Cyber-Cat, and after a heated battle managed to destroy Cyber's battlesuit, leaving her to wallow in self-pity. Catwoman then returned the suit to Clutterbuck and told him to junk it. She still didn't know the why of Selina Kyle, but she did know she still enjoyed being an adventurer.

(Catwoman II #51-53) - Catwoman busted up a new drug house that popped up in Gotham, and stole the take they had on premises, rationalizing that they shouldn't profit from their crimes, but she should. Huntress was after the same drughouse, and told Catwoman she wanted the money. Catwoman protested, but when Huntress told her it would go to charity for drug rehab Catwoman said she could be persuaded to be altruistic, but she had a bigger idea. Catwoman knew where the Cartagenas drug compound was, where they could score big money, but she never had the backup to tackle it until now. They took out the guards, put the dogs to sleep, and made their way to the Cartegnas' safe. One dog was still awake and alerted Rafael Cartegna, aka Skullface, and his men, and Huntress and Catwoman blamed each other for the screw-up. A button-bomb from Catwoman gave the duo time to regain their composure and knock out the criminals. When they were ready to part ways Catwoman took her 10% cut, but Huntress changed her mind and said she wanted all the money for her charity, chasing Catwoman into a tree. Catwoman gave her the money, and told her to just ask nicely next time. That night Selina continued to struggle with her feelings for Moreland, and he broke into her apartment. He'd been listening to the voice-recording of his initial encounter with Catwoman, and noticed the similarity to Selina's voice. That combined with the diary he realized belonged to Selina made up his mind that he had his woman. Selina pleaded ignorance, and told him she had genuine feelings for him, but he wasn't buying it. He revealed himself as the serial killer Headhunter, a misogynist who killed women because he felt rejected by them, and Selina was his next target. Moreland chased her with his blade, alernating between blaming her for "forcing" him to kill, and begging her to return his affection. She fled to the rooftop, and Moreland up and left. She changed into Catwoman, not being able to risk him going off to kill another innocent woman. She went to his apartment, and it was cleaned out except for some skulls and a message to meet him at Babylon Towers, where they first met. He was in the caved in city of the dead, and had a gun to his head. He was going to kill himself, but then decided to kill her first and started shooting. He had her cornered when he decided to impale himself on a sharp board. Catwoman was aghast, but kept her composure long enough to call the police, and gather all the evidence Moreland had on Catwoman's identity. She was shaken by the horror of the night, and couldn't see herself enjoying the romance of thievery and sneaking in the dark again anytime soon.

(Batman Versus Predator 3 #2) - Catwoman was in the middle of a heist when she was targeted by alien Predators. Batman chased them off in a Jaeger Attack helicopter, and Catwoman decided it was a good night to stay at home and watch a movie.

(Catwoman II #54) - Catwoman stole the Casanova Canary diamond from the Gotham Musuem, and she staid up at night staring at it. She loved that it was unattainable, much like her, but got annoyed at how easily she'd taken it. She thought a 20 million dollar gem should have had better protection and was not properly protected. Selina snuck into the museum and returned it, hoping they'd beef up security and make it harder to steal. The next time she stole it she had to get past a laser security gruid, but still didn't feel challenged, so she kept stealing and returning it each time slipping past the security upgrades. Criminal Two-Ham Sam was recently ripped off by Catwoman, and offered himself and his gang as museum security. They had a firefight with Catwoman, but she still beat them, only to find the gem missing. Curator Roget Colvin had taken the gem in the chaos, and was willing to collect on the upgraded insurance policy. Catwoman figured out his plan, and told him to return the diamond, and warned him to keep paying the insurance policy that she felt showed respect for the value of the treasure.

(Catwoman II #55) - Millionaire Werner Samson started stalking Selina, sending her unwanted gifts and keeping close tabs on her. She told him to buzz off, but he wasn't taking no for an answer, and she disliked someone watching her, making it more difficult to operate as Catwoman. She planned on breaking into his house until she got the idea of stealing the security codes he used, Samson Security protected half of Gotham. Putting on a disguise, she got a temp job working for Samson, posed as a potential security client, and went on a date with him in a third identity, learning he used a mmnemoic device along with his little black book to come up with security codes. She really began to despise him, he beat his wife, and harassed all the women at work. At a New Year's Eve party she got him drunk enough to start discussing his security codes, but he threw a fit when a waitress brought him the wrong drink. He was going to have her fired, despite her protests of being a single mother. Catwoman hated giving up on her plan to steal from him, but decided it would be more satisfying to destroy his confidence. She revealed that she'd been following him for weeks, and had been inside his business after hours. She promised he'd come to harm if he so much as gave another woman a dirty look.

(JLA #16, 17) - Catwoman, disguised as reporter Cat Grant, went to the JLA Watchtower on the moon to cover the announcement of the new lineup. Prometheus infiltrated the Watchtower, set fire to the hydroponic systems that provided the Watchtower with air, and defeated Martian Manhunter, Steel, Huntress and Batman as Hippolyta tried to evacuate the press. Catwoman shed her disguise and defeated Prometheus and he was forced to flee. Prometheus had methods of defeating every hero on Earth, but didn’t keep files on villains, so the newly reformed Catwoman was capable of besting him with her cat-o'-nine-tails.

(Catwoman II #56) - Catwoman stole a prototype of WayneTech's new night vision goggles from the Buddingdales department store, and was ready to make a getaway using the elevator shaft when a major earthquake hit Gotham, destroying most of the building. There were few survivors, and she saw a security guard trying to save a little girl crushed under debris. The guard realized he had more pressing issues than arresting Catwoman, and she staid with the girl, talking to her until she passed away. Catwoman was overwhelmed with claustrophobia, and decided to start looking out for number one again, slipping out of the building, only to see all Gotham razed by the natural disaster. Feeling a sudden burst of love for her city she helped the security guard gather the remaining survivors and got them to safety. Catwoman was appalled by the devastation around her and wept.

(Catwoman II #57) - Catwoman was on anti-looter patrol when she found Poison Ivy testing a super-fertilizer made by a Waynetech employee she had wrapped around her finger. Catwoman didn't want a fight, but when Ivy gave the man her poisonous kiss she decided he shouldn't die for making bad relationship choices. He died before Catwoman could do anything, and Poison Ivy revealed her plan of returning Gotham to a state of nature, dropping seeds into the super-fertilizer that instantly made them giant strangler vines. Catwoman had to flee, and caught up with Poison Ivy at the GCPD station, where she was continuing her work. Catwoman helped Harvey Bullock pull up the roots of a tree that was destroying the station, and then confronted Ivy at the Gotham reservoir. She caught the vial of seeds Ivy was going to drop in it with her whip, and shattered the vial on Ivy's face. Ivy had previously ingested some of the fertilizer, and some of the seeds grew inside her, incapacitating the villain.

(Catwoman II #58-60) - Catwoman decided she'd been altruistic enough for one year, and got back to the business of stealing. Robbing a bank vault she ran into Stan, a security guard she'd previously robbed when he worked at an art gallery and a jewelry store. She didn't like the coincidence, and liked it even less when he started flirting with her, so she punched him out. Later Catwoman found a diamond with a letter from a secret admirer, and was absolutely sick of the attention she'd been getting from crummy men. She couldn't just leave a diamond though, and gave it to Starkey to pawn. Starkey said Zee desperately needed to see her, and she found Zee held hostage by the Scarecrow. The villain used a new fear toxin that bonded to estrogen, and after experiencing visions of Headhunter and Batman she was forced to flee. She went home to sleep it off, but the visions kept coming, and she hated the feeling of helplessness they caused her. Catwoman's hallucination stopped, but she still felt fear, a luxury she hadn't allowed herself since childhood. Her claustrophobia that reared its head during the earthquake worsened. She met her secret admirer, Dane, a young boy who admired Catwoman, seeing her as someone who overcame their tough background, and who refused to be kicked around. Catwoman wasn't thrilled with him looking up to her, but Scarecrow's goons attacked, wanting her for another femfear trial, and she helped Dane get to safety. She ran to Gotham State University, not wanting a physical confrontation, but the villains kept pursuing her. Her anger made some of her fear dissipate, and she remembered how she overcame fear when she was much younger, and made fearlessness a reflex. Anger was the key, and she felt back to herself after she snapped and defeated the goons when they backed her into a corner. Scarecrow's lab was in the university, and she easily snatched away his femfear syringe. She told him she'd manipulated her fear and turned it into her strength, before injecting herself with the serum. Catwoman hallucinated being locked up in Arkham, with the inmates telling her she was finally where she belonged. In the vision they brutally attacked her, until Batman came to her rescue, telling her she depended on him completely. This snapped Catwoman into reality, her greatest fear was dependency, something that couldn't just sneak up on her life most fears, and she burned Scarecrows notes containing years of research before tossing him out a window. She still wanted to get back at Stan for insulting her, so she robbed his bank again, and framed him for the theft. She remembered that the maxim was living well was the best revenge, but she liked revenge that taught others a lesson, and realized her happiness sometimes relied on the misery of others. She gave Dane some of the stolen money and told him to get out of town, telling him the sidekick thing never worked out for her. This was a set-up as well, and when Dane bought a bus ticket he was arrested for possession of stolen currency.

(Catwoman / Wildcat #1-4) -

(Catwoman II #61) - Gotham's first bank reopened and billed itself as theft-proof, which Catwoman took as a challenge. She opened up a security box under a false identity, stashed her Catwoman suit inside, and then slipped into a bathroom stall, slipping an out of order sign on it. At closing time she prepared to pull of her heist, having her eye on the Brownsley diamonds, but an armed gang of robbers burst into the bank, making the few remaining employees hostages. She left the bathroom, pretended to be a hysterical customer who got locked in the bathroom, and the robbers tossed her in the safe deposit box room to keep her quiet. She changed into Catwoman and tried to get the drop on them, but one of the bank employees screamed when they saw her. Catwoman told the robbers the bank's money belonged to her, but they told her to sit in a corner, where she activated the silent alarm. She whispered to one of the robbers about the Brownsley diamonds, knowing he'd go for them without telling his fellow thugs. The GCPD arrived, and there was a stand-off. Catwoman grabbed one of the goon's shotguns, and told them to surrender, bluffing that she would shoot the hostages and tell the police she hired them if she was caught. They bought the ruse, and Catwoman changed into civvies in the deposit box room, hiding the diamonds she'd stolen from the robber she manipulated during the chaos.

(Catwoman II #62) - Catwoman met with Starkey, and knew there was something off because he was being polite. "Starkey" revealed himself as spy Nemesis, who had called in a favor from Oracle to learn how to get close to Catwoman. His friend Benton from the CBI had gone undercover in an international jewel ring, and he hadn't heard from him in weeks. He was afraid for his friend, and planned on disguising himself as a master thief to gain access to the ring, but he had no idea how to be a thief, and he'd heard Catwoman was the best. She was unsure of helping him, so he enticed her with a wager, if he could find his friend in two days Catwoman would have to tell him her real name, but if he didn't he'd be at Catwoman's disposal for one impersonation job of her choosing. They flew to London, and Catwoman gave him a crash course in breaking and entering, even alerting the guards so he'd have to deal with an unexpected circumstance. That night they realized how well they got along, and Catwoman removed her mask in front of him. He was glad she could let her guard down with him, but when he used that phrase she bugged out and left, afraid of seeming weak. She couldn't fly home because Gotham airport was operating at limited capacity, so she went to see how Nemesis' mission played out. He gained access to Mr. stone's ring, but when he revealed himself to Benton he learned his friend had gone rogue. Catwoman regretted giving him the impression that there was honor among thieves when she unmasked for him. Benton fatally shot Nemesis, so all Catwoman could do was blow his cover with his bosses, sealing his fate. Catwoman shed a tear for having a friend briefly and then losing him.

(Catwoman II #63-65) - Catwoman was hired to move a hidden microchip from one part of a carnival to another, and although it sounded like a setup she trusted Zee's judgment in recommending the job to her. She found the chip in a lion cage, and brought it to the tunnel of love, where she was pelted with cream pies. The Joker appeared, and told her he wanted to play Cupid, alluding to her boyfriend's libido, but she had no idea what he was talking about. Joker said the pie was laced with tracer chemicals, promising he could find her anywhere. Catwoman drove off on her motorcycle, and was skeptical until Joker started firing long-range missiles at her. Catwoman couldn't risk returning home, so she rented a hotel room, but it went up in flames that night. She realized she was dangerous to everyone around her as loing as she was in the madman's sites. Catwoman debated leaving in an airplane, but Joker was on point, launching missiles at the planes. Batman arrived to stop Joker's sick game, which is exactly what Joker wanted, sand he set off Valentine's fireworks before slipping away. Batman had reproduced the Joker's tracking system, and told Catwoman the chemicals wouldn't wear off for 30 days. He told her she'd be kept in isolation at Blackgate until that time elapsed to ensure the safety of others. she told him he was crazy, stole his tracking device, and ran off. She suspected Batman cared about her as well as the casualties Joker was causing, and she hated it. She'd spent her whole life hoping the people that got close to her would spontaneously combust. She took the fight to Joker, leaping on top of his car so he could'nt use his rockets. She fought his goons, but Joker was able to subdue her with a Joker venom dart. He dropped her off at Gotham Dome, and she warned everyone there that their lives were at risk. (Catwoman II #65) - Batman arrived, helped clear the stadium and gave her a Joker venom antidote. Catwoman wouldn't go to Blackgate, but she relented into allowing Batman to protect her. He took her to an earthquake ravage part of the city, and they drew Joker out, who was easily defeated. He explained that he framed Catwoman as a murderer to make Batman look bad, since he was clearly in love with her, whether or not he admitted it. He pointed out the fact that a criminal mastermind like him had been put away many times by Batman, but he never seemed to manage to catch her. Joker was strapped with a bomb, and Batman managed to get it off him, but the explosion knocked him out. Catwoman took the unconscious Joker to Arkham, and finally realized she could get under his skin like he did to her. He clearly cared about Batman on a deep level, so she presented him with Batman's cape and told him she killed him, causing the Joker to start wailing.

(Martian Manhunter II #4) - Martian Manhunter scanned the minds of everyone on Earth, including Catwoman, to find clues about the murder of his partner Karen Smith.

(Catwoman II #66) - Catwoman made the difficult decision to leave Gotham during No Man's Land. she took a vacation in Cannes when she heard a US broadcast of Nicholas Scratch, who wanted Gotham gone, not satisfied with the city being cut off from federal aid. He described the tragic lives of the children in Gotham, and it struck a chord with Catwoman. He mentioned her by name as a vile person addicted to stealing like it was a drug, and decided to prove him wrong. She went to Paris, and made a splash at the International Thieves Guild, even though she saw herself as better than all of them. They elected to give her first crack at stealing the Bouclier D'Arc, a shield reputedly used by Joan of Arc, in return for a cut of the take. She broke into the Louvre, took the shield in her hands, and put it back to prove she had no addiction. The premiere French thief Le Voleur Noir didn't like her upstaging him in his country, and pointed a gun at her. Security arrived, and she realized that during the commotion she had stolen the shield. She sold it in NYC, but the buyer tried to hold her up, so she stole his gun, and retained the relic. She decided that she was only addicted to thievery because it was her means of survival. She sat on the Brooklyn Bridge when a grifter told her that Gotham refugees fell for his old buying the Brooklyn Bridge scam. She said she wanted the bridge, and all of Manhattan too.

(Catwoman II #67) - Selina put on a disguise and met with Peter Randolf, head of Randolf Industries, showing him all the dirt she'd found on him, including insider trading and sexual harassment. He laughed her off, saying he had the resources to bury his wrongdoings, so he roughly escorted her out. She was now filming their encounter, and feigned being afraid of him, and leapt down an elevator shaft, making it look like he pushed her. Randolf panicked, but could find no body. She showed up at his next party, and during a business presentation she aired a portion of his "murder" tape, before he begged her to back off, and Selina became the new VP of Randolf Industries. She wanted more business connections, and reached out to Randolf's mafia liaison Nicki Stanson. She created a trading lag in the NYSE and made a killing for Randolf Industries, leading to Randolf being outsted and Selina being named new C.E.O.

(Catwoman II #68-71) - Selina ran for mayor as her next phase of taking Manhattan, and hired a woman named Diane as her assistant. She did well in the polls, and mafia member Mr. Sergeyevitch wanted her killed and his own pawn councilman Murty put in office. Gunhawk tried to snipe Selina at a fundraiser, but missed and was fired. Selina saw the Body Doubles trying to break into her apartment, and changed into her Catwoman costume. She fought the Doubles, claiming to be another merc hired to kill Selina. She defeated the duo, but at a rally at the Statue of Liberty she was confronted by Lady Vic and had to make another quick costume change. They fought atop the Statue of Liberty, and she defeated Vic, who'd been posing as her assistant to get close to her. Selina started making underworld contacts to tighten her grip on the city, and mob boss Carlino, who was in league with Randolf was none too pleased. He hired Trickster, who set up surveillance equipment on Selina's rooftop. Catwoman spotted him, and he explained that after defeating Neron he had to work on the side of the angels, at least some of the time, and intended to discredit Selina and use his paycheck to fund charities. She disarmed him by flirting, saying they could work together, and that she's get the surveillance equipment inside Selina's apartment to help him out. He soon realized he was duped when she dumped the equipment in Times Square. Barnaby Finnian of the SEC was investigating Selina, who had no electronic history, and he had evidence that she'd manipulated the NYSE, enabling him to freeze her assets. Trickster was peeved at Catwoman, so he spread word to the press that Selina was Catwoman, not really believing what he said, but knowing the media would run with it. Catwoman angrily confronted Trickster, who feared a beating, and admitted that he had no evidence to back his assertions. With her political career in ruins Catwoman met with Carlino to prove she wasn't Selina, and promised she'd be the one to kill Selina Kyle. Trickster was following Catwoman, and she told him Selina was now her target. Trickster didn't much care because he'd stolen forms from the SEC agent who froze Selina's bank accounts, and could transfer the money to his own Swiss bank account before he found out. Catwoman demanded the forms from him, but he eluded her grasp. To keep an eye on him she had him accompany her in ehr search for Selina. She attacked the mob crew that she'd had contact with as Selina, hoping one of them would injure Trickster, but he came out of it unscathed. She then produced info on the aliases she'd been using since coming to NYC and suggested they split up. Trickster went to Giglioni's restaurant and met "alina" who would not admit to being Selina Kyle. The restaurant's owner and his son scuffled with Trickster before he was kicked out. The whole scene was a scheme by Catwoman, who managed to steal Trickster's envelope that she thought contained the SEC papers. She prepared to transfer her funds when she realized the envelope contained nothing but a note saying "bad kitty." Catwoman tried to get Trickster to give her the SEC funds again but failed, and he warned her that Carlino was going to show up at the bank as soon as it opened, knowing Selina would want to keep her funs from being liquidated by the SEC, and Carlino was ready to ruin Catwoman's reputation because she didn't come through in the hit. Catwoman got a body from the morgue, dressed it up in her civvies, and tossed it from a rooftop. Carlino panicked, but she'd already called the cops on him. Trickster had figured out that Catwoman was Selina because of all her subtle tells. He was growing fond of her, and promsied not to reveal her secret. He'd also managed to use the SEC forms to funnel Selina's money into a Gotham relief charity, because he thought she'd approve. Catwoman was honestly touched, and decided her scheming in NYC was getting her nowhere, so she happily returned to Gotham.

(Catwoman III #41) - Three prostitutes were savagely murdered in the East End, and Catwoman prowled the streets to find the killer. She caught Guillermo Duran in the act of attacking another woman, and they fought, but she was forced to let him escape when she saw that the girl, Virna, was still alive. Catwoman took her to the hospital, where she was treated by Leslie Thompkins. Slam Brady and Holly Robinson showed up to help her investigate the case, and Holly knew that all the girls targeted worked for Romanian crimelord Guillermo Duran. Catwoman confronted Dragos, who legitimately didn't know that his henchman Duran was out to get his girls. He said he cared about his girls, and Catwoman called him on his bull, saying she knew he was a slaver. After some threats from her Dragos promised to help her investigation. Slam learned that Dragos ran a dog-fighting ring, and suspected it was connected to the killings. He interrogated pound worker Curt Harris, who sold strays to Dragos, and roughed him up until he revealed the location of the next fight. Catwoman caught Duran in the midst of another attack, but he eluded her again. The victim was dead, and vowed that no more women would die in East End under her watch.

(JLA #115-119) - Firefly stole diamonds, but was beaten up by Catwoman, who took the diamonds for herself. Batman arrived on the scene, and forced Catwoman to handover her ill-gotten goods. Martian Manhunter arrived and wanted a private word with Batman, but former members of the Secret Society of Super-Villains chose the moment to attack the heroes. Catwoman learned that the villains were in an uproar because members of the JLA had tampered with their memories years ago, Catwoman was wounded in the fight before the villains were driven off, and Batman took her back to the Batcave to recover. Batman revealed to her that the JLA had mindwiped him years ago after he found out they lobotomized Dr. Light. Despero, who was in league with the former Society members, burst into the Batcave, along with Martian Manhunter and Aquaman, whose minds he’d taken. He took Batman’s mind and turned him against Catwoman. The JLA responded and Zatanna put Despero in suspended animation. Catwoman was shaken by being attacked by Batman and left in anger. Batman shared his feelings with Martian Manhunter that the JLA could have altered Catwoman’s mind. She was once a fierce enemy, but after a brief membership in the Secret Society she became an ally of sorts.

(Catwoman III #48, 49) - Batman learned that Catwoman was undercover in Strange's group, and asked her to have a talk with him in the Batcave. He warned her that Strange was as dangerous as any of his enemies, and as much as he respected her heart and intelligence he was worried that she was out of her depth fighting supervillains. Catwoman said she had no choice; ever since the Gang Wars Batman was Gotham's only hero, and she was the sole protector of the East End, so she had to draw a line in the sand. She revealed her plan to take down Strange, and Batman had to admit he was impressed. She met with Holly and Karon, telling Holly that no matter how bad things looked to trust that she was going to be okay. Angle Man didn't trust Catwoman, and had followed her to her meeting with Todd Russel, hearing her say she was taking Strange down. He confronted her, telling her he knew what she was up to. She said Strange would never believe a nobody like him over a professional like her, but he produced a tape recording of her conversation with Smart Bomb. He said he was sick of no one taking him seriously, and could deal with Strange speaking condescendingly to him, but not Catwoman. He produced a gun, and shot her in the stomach. Angle called Strange, who brought along Smart Bomb and Hammer, and Strange gave him permission to finish off Catwoman, so he stabbed her in the head with an angle. Hammer disposed of the body, but "Catwoman" was actually Todd using his Clayface shapeshifting power. Catwoman got the drop on the gang, defeating Sickle with some help from Smart Bomb, and beating Angle Man with a bat. Captain Cold had already left the group because he didn't approve of senseless murder, and she finished off the crew by hitting Hammer with a number of tranq darts. She threatened Strange, telling him to get out of town, and never come back, and he complied. She thanked Todd for his help, and said he was free, and wouldn't have to worry about her or Batman going after him. She knew he'd been turned into a monster and a killer, and believed him when he said he'd changed since his imprisonment. Catwoman tried to unwind with a cup of coffee when Zatanna arrived to say she had some bad news.

(Catwoman III #50, 51) - Catwoman asked if Zatanna could teleport them to the French Riviera for their talk, because that's how she would use magical powers. Zatanna said Batman warned her she avoid conversations by changing focus, but teleported them into Catwoman's apartment, which Catwoman said was an invasion of her privacy. Zatanna asked Catwoman if she'd ever wondered why she wa sno longer a criminal, and made her remember Zatanna planting a suggestion in her mind to turn good years ago, when the Justice League of America was using her powers to mindwipe or forcibly rehabilitate villains. Catwoman felt completely violated and unsure of herself, and after taping Zatanna's mouth shut so she couldn't use magic, pushed her out a window. Zatanna removed the tape before Catwoman could pounce on her, and froze her in place. Zatanna said the Justice League had no right to manipulate her mind, but she had a right to know, and with that she disappeared. Catwoman raged that all the good she'd done was only because someone forced her to be a hero, and she felt like she didn't know who she was anymore. Catwoman broke into Wayne Manor to speak to Bruce, and told him how his Justice League buddies were her responsible for her transformation from villain to hero. Bruce was completely unaware of what they'd done, and she asked him as a friend and former enemy and lover who she truly was before the JLofA tinkered with her head. He assured her that she was in control of her mind and life no matter what they'd done to her, but she felt unsatisfied with his answer and left. Catwoman, embracing her old ways, stole a car and drove off, but was soon pulled over. The officer recognized her and pulled a gun, so she slashed his face to escape. She visited Holly and Karon, who'd been attacked. They told her Black Mask was responsible, and had kidnapped Slam Bradley. She broke into Black Mask's building, and after shooting a guard in the shoulder, forced him to show her where Mask's dungeon was. Black Mask and his ally Angle Man were unconscious, taken down by Smart Bomb, who was cradling Slam's near lifeless body. He wasn't wearing his mask, and Catwoman was shocked to learn that Smart Bomb was Sam Bradley.

(Catwoman III #52) - Sam flew Slam to the hospital, and despite his injuries he was tough, and looked to pull through. Sam visited Selina Kyle at home, and she wondered if he'd figured out her secret identity by himself, because he was very much his father's son. He said Slam had a GCPD officer guarding him at the hospital, but Selina said that wouldn't help her, and she'd have to be proactive taking down Black Mask. Selina received a number of surveillance photos of Holly in the mail, and went to warn her that she was being stalked. Holly told her to get a grip, and was convinced Catwoman could handle Black Mask and keep her safe. Catwoman asked Sam for help raiding Black Mask's penthouse. He was off the force for his previous break in, but agreed to help, breaking the Smart Bomb suit out of evidence. Angle Man had sabotaged the suit, and Sam made a crash landing into a rooftop, barely clinging to life as he was rushed to the hospital. Catwoman visited Slam in the hospital, and even though he was comatose she felt the need to talk to him. She'd almost decided that to keep her friends safe she'd have to take out Black Mask permanently. She broke into Black Mask's penthouse, and he kept her at bay with a tommy gun. He said he'd never lived up to his full potential as a Gotham-based villain, and had decided he needed focus, and had chosen Catwoman as a nemesis. He wouldn't kill her, because he needed an adversary, but he promised that all her friends would die slow, horrible deaths. Catwoman disarmed him, and put a gun to his head. Black Mask said he knew her, and she'd never pull the trigger. She shot Black Mask in the head, killing him, and fled the penthouse.

(Catwoman III #58 (fb), 59 (fb)) - Black Mask's lieutenant Xavier Dylan discovered his body, and said reprisal had to be swift and brutal. Catwoman overheard him ordering Martin and Lewis to Gotham General to kill Sam Bradley, Jr. Catwoman rushed to the hospital, but the two thugs fought well in tight quarters. Sam woke up, and shot Louis, saving her life before passing out again. Catwoman was amazed at his fortitude, and thought she might be in love. When he was released from the hospital Selina told Sam that Black Mask's death had left a power void that his loyal lieutenants would soon fill, and they decided they had to take extreme measures to destroy the False Face Society once and for all, even if it meant their own deaths. Selina had one other thing to bring up, the obvious attraction they had for each other since the day they met. Sam agreed there was something there, but the circumstances were strange, and Selina replied that falling for someone while undercover in a criminal gang was normal in her world. Knowing they might not have another chance to express themselves they made love.

(Catwoman III #62 (fb)) - Catwoman and Sam took out the remains of the False Face Society, taking apart their operations a piece at a time. They took down Xavier Dylan, the second-in-command, and even though Catwoman originally intended to kill him, she decided she couldn't murder again, and handed him over to the authorities. The rush of their success ignited passion, and Sam and Catwoman made love again. Before long Selina realized she was pregnant, but before she could tell Sam he was abducted by Xavier, who'd been released on bond. He tied up Sam and beat him, taking his cell and calling Catwoman to lure her to her death. Sam was being held in a kitchen, and when he realized the stove had a gas leak he set off an explosion that destroyed Xavier's compound, killing him and his men. He was blown clear, but fatally wounded. Catwoman begged him to stay with her, saying he was going to be a father, and he passed on happy that Selina and their baby was safe.

(Catwoman III #55 (fb), 56 (fb), 57 (fb)) - After a mugger nearly grazed her with a lucky shot she realized she had obligations to her unborn child that were greater than her need to be a daredevil.

(Catwoman III #54 (fb), 53) - <one year later> Selina never wanted children because of how dangerous the world was, but admitted to herself that plans changed. She left the East End, and took up residence in the posh Gotham Arms as Irena Dubrovna to cut ties with her past. She still felt an obligation to the East Enbd, and Holly Robinson agreed to train and take her place as the new Catwoman. Selena gave birth, and after her release from the hospital Slam drove by and gave her a lift home. He was curious as to Selina's choice of the name Helena for her girl, and wondered why Holly had a shiner. Selina said Helena rhymed with Irena, and Holly said she ran into a door. Slam grumbled that people kept forgetting he used to be a detective, and told them to enjoy their mysteries. Selina was already enjoying motherhood, and received a social call from Batman, who'd set up a college fund for Helena, and brought a giant teddy bear as a gift. Selina was grateful, and laughed at the idea of the fearless crimefighter holding a teddy. Batman told her he thought it was foolhardy to send Holly into action, and Selina said he of all people had no right to criticize the idea of making a youth into a sidekick, and assured him Holly would be fine.

(Catwoman III #54) - Helena woke up Selina in the middle of the night, and she told her girl she'd never believe what she used to do in the dead of night. On the news there was still a debate over Black Mask's death, and if his murderer should be pursued. Selina was troubled about keeping Helena safe without her growing up as cynical as she was. Karon called Selina, saying Holly still hadn't returned from patrol, but Selina assured her her girlfriend was well trained and most likely fine. Selina caught the late night Film Freak TV show, and he showed a video of an injured Holly brutally beating Angle Man. Selina had never that much anger in Holly before, and wondered what she'd done to her friend.

(Catwoman III #55-57) - Selina took Slam out to dinner at a fancy restaurant, and he worried about the price, but she assured him that her checkered past had left her very well off. Selina said he hadn't been acting like himself lately, and he admitted that with all the changes in everyone's lives around him he hadn't changed at all and felt like a relict or a fossil. He just grumbled when she assured him he wasn't that old. Batman ran a deep background check on Selina's prospective babysitter Miranda, and found her to be clean. Selina thanked him, and he said there was nothing more important to him than protecting the innocent. Selina couldn't resist gearing up as Catwoman and running the rooftops. One of Film Freaks goons took a shot at her, but Holly / Catwoman came to her rescue. One of Film Freak's contributors caught footage of the two Catwomen talking in an alley. Selina said she knew she made the right decision picking Holly as Catwoman, and they picked up a cab back home. Holly thought they should be more inconspicuous, but Selina assured her that cabbies saw too many weird things in Gotham to care about two women dressed like Catwoman. Holly got a call from Wildcat about busting up a chop shop, and went on her way, while Selina went to her safehouse to catch up on a few hours sleep before daybreak. Selina got a call from Miranda as Film Freak and Angle Man broke into Selina's loft. She suited up as Catwoman, boosted a car, and repeatedly telling herself to stay focused and calm, returned home. Film Freak realized there were two Catwomen, and had seen through Selina's alias because he was a film buff. He wanted to document a final act to Angle Man and Catwoman's conflict, and Angle Man had Helena in his clutches, telling Catwoman she was about to lose everything she cared about. Angle Man asked Film Freak if the sound of a baby screaming would be dramatic for his movie, and Catwoman switched off the lights, grabbed Helena, and fled down the hall. Angle Man hit her in the ankle with an angle, causing her to topple over, but she thought fast and cushioned Helena. Film Freak halted Angle Man, wanting a classic Trombone shot to capture Catwoman's anxiety before Angle Man finished her off. Catwoman smashed the camera into his face, injuring his eye and disabling him before taking down Angle Man and tying them both up. Angle Man promised that since they knew who she was she'd never be safe again, nor would her child. He taunted her that she could always kill him, since he knew she was a murderer. Catwoman called Zatanna, and told her she needed to erase their memories or she'd be forced to kill them. Zatanna said she didn't manipulate people's minds anymore, and Catwoman said she owed her.

(Catwoman III #58) - Zatanna arrived, and Angle Man reiterated that he'd gone from a nobody to the man that was going to inform every lunatic and criminal where they could find Catwoman and her daughter. Catwoman tended to Helena, and left Zatanna alone with the villains. Angle Man said he knew how Zatanna lobotomized Dr. Light, and said being a supervillain wasn't working out for him, so he'd be fine if she wiped his mind clean. She insisted she didn't do that anymore, and reached inside his mind to erase his knowledge of Catwoman's private identity. Catwoman grew impatient with how long the process took, but knew she never wanted to kill someone again if she could help it. Zatanna finished her work on Film Freak and Angle Man, and told them to confess their crimes. Catwoman said they still weren't even, and suggested Zatanna make them confess to Black Mask's murder, but she flat out refused. Zatanna said she'd never invade Catwoman's mind again, but it was clear to her she had some dark secrets, and she should deal with them before they tore her apart.

(Catwoman III #59-61) - Wildcat went to see Selina to tell her Holly was being framed for Black Mask's murder, saying that Holly called him first because Selina's first obligation was to her child. Selina said she still owed it to Holly to watch out for her, and hatched a breakout plan that would involve the JSA. Wildcat said the JSA didn't break the law, and she snapped that they were clearly not interested in justice even though they called themselves the Justice Society. She slipped into her Catwoman costume, and told Wildcat to watch Helena while she took care of the situation herself. Catwoman woke Slam Bradley, who'd drunk himself into a stupor, but he said he couldn't help because he no longer had friends on the force. Catwoman caught a brief report on Film Freak's bizarre murder spree. Realizing she was really on her own Catwoman stole blueprints for the East End precinct from the Gotham Department of Records. Catwoman entered a crawlspace above the East End interrogation room, where Lenahan kept threatening Holly to get her to give him Catwoman's real name. Catwoman new she needed a distraction, but providence came when Film Freak unleashed a giant gorilla on the East End in an homage to "King Kong," and Lenahan and Worth were called away to deal with it. Catwoman rescued Holly and she was overjoyed. Catwoman couldn't stand to see the East End police destroy the dumb brute rampaging through the city, but said Holly had been through enough, so she should go home and tell Karon she was alright while Catwoman dealt with it. Catwoman knocked out the giant gorilla with a smoke bomb, disabling it, but saving it's life. Selina spent time with Helena, Karon and Holly, and followed the Film Freak's rampage. Karon figured out that he was carrying out violent reenactments of classical films through the ages, and wondered what movie he'd use as his finale. Film Freak hijacked a Gotham TV network, killing everyone except the movie critic. He said his movie was about to end in an explosive finale, and challenged the audience to save Gotham City by figuring out the connection in "Dr. Strangelove," "Killers from Space," and "Return of the Living Dead." Karon told Selina she didn't know the answer despite being a fangirl, and after Film Freak forced Bobby the critic to go on a high-speed chase through the East End reminiscent of "The French Connection" Selina suited up and pursued them. Film Freak threw a grenade that injured Catwoman, and acquired the uranium he needed to finish his bomb with which he'd destroy Gotham. Catwoman fought through her internal injuries, and Karon, after reviewing the films in Film Freak's riddle put her on the track of nuclear armageddon. Film Freak prepared for his finale in a classic theatre, shooting Bobby, saying he needed to be the only star. He showed Catwoman the bomb, and when she tried to dissuade him from following through, he showed her that it was already armed, and he was more concerned with his place in history than saving his skin. As he spouted more movie quotes Catwoman overpowered him and beat him bloody. Holly arrived as Catwoman in time to see Selina disable the nuke. They returned home, where a bloody Slam Bradley was cradling Helena, telling her they needed to have a talk about his granddaughter.

(Catwoman III #62) - Selina realized she owed everyone an explanation, and said her life went off the rails when she killed Black Mask. Holly was stupefied, and angry that Selina never told her. Selina said she did what she did to keep her friends safe, and Slam backed her up in her decision. Slam said his son had told him about his love affair with Selina, and he was hurt because they'd been lovers in the past, and felt Selina had traded him in for a younger model. Selina said that wasn't how it went at all, and while they took down the remains of Black Mask's mob they had spontaneous moments of passion. She recounted how Sam died a hero, and Slam thanked her for having been straight with him. He admitted that he'd been heavily medicated since his son died, and had turned back to the bottle, but thought he had a reason to pull himself out of the hole he was in. Selina and Slam cooed over Helena, and Selina said she had her grandfather's eyes.

(Catwoman III #63-66) - Catwoman wanted to prove to Holly that she couldn't go back to her apartment, so she ordered pizza to her place, and they watched through binoculars as the delivery boy arrived. Lenahan was stalking the lobby, and demanded to know if the pizza boy knew where Holly was. Catwoman said Holly shouldn't underestimate Lenahan, because even though he was one man he was obsessed. Catwoman needed to give Holly a clean slate, which would involve erasing her arrest records, but knew she couldn't go to Oracle because she'd have too many questions. She reached out to Calculator, who told her to drop by his apartment. Calculator was in a meeting with new supervillain team Triple Threat, who wanted him to put in a good word with his connections, and he told him he would if they proved themselves by taking down Catwoman. The Triple Threat were eager to make a name for themselves, but they were inexperienced, and after Catwoman kicked one in the crotch and broke the second's wrist, the third member ran away. Catwoman told Calculator she didn't appreciate his little test, but he wanted to get down to business. In exchange for giving Holly a clean slate he wanted her to steal the Metropolis snowglobe that belonged to his old boss Lex Luthor. Catwoman traveled to Metropolis, and disliked the contrast of the bright city of tomorrow compared to the gloom of Gotham. She took a tour of LexCorp disguised as a tourist, and asked where all of Lex Luthor's stuff was. The tour guide assured her Lex's possessions and inventions were safely locked away in a vault in the sub-basement and posed no danger. Catwoman slipped away from the tour group, and broke into the basement. She'd stolen a teleportation device from Warp, and used it to enter Lex's vault. She was amazed at the array of goods present, and thought it a shame to go away with just a snowglobe. Catwoman ran into her future self, who tried to warn her about the security measures, but she chalked it up to being a security hologram. A robotic sentry activated, and Catwoman disabled it with a high-tech firearm she found. She grabbed the globe, but looked up and saw Lex Luthor behind her. This Luthor was a robotic duplicate with advanced AI, and Catwoman had to fight for her life. Warp's device jammed, so she jumped on a nearby pad, a time travel device that brought her four minutes into the past. After her failed warning she was pulled into the present, and Luthor felled her with a blow. He found her picture of Helena, and threatened her. Catwoman gathered her strength and disabled the Luthor robot, but he was programmed to self-destruct so he didn't fall into enemy hands. Catwoman used the time travel pad again to escape the explosion, which ripped a giant hole through the vault, and when she returned to the present she made her escape. Superman confronted her, and after she convinced him the snowglobe had no intrinsic value, and he should stop hassling her, he told her to get out of his city. She returned to Gotham and called up the Calculator, who was pleased, and said they'd celebrate over drinks, but her conversation was interrupted by Warp, who wanted his device back. She overpowered him, and said the device was gone, but it didn't work properly anyway, so he shouldn't be sore. She forced him to teleport to Calculator's apartment after threatening to claw his eyes out. Warp told Calculator he'd pay, but Calculator reminded him he had a huge amount of dirt on Warp he could give to law enforcement and the tabloids, and Warp teleported away in a huff. Calculator thanked Catwoman for her service, and scrubbed Holly's record as promised. He was sad to inform her that Catwoman Holly was currently battling the overpowered Hammer and Sickle in the East End.

(Catwoman III #67, 68) - Calculator warned Catwoman that Hammer and Sickle were using an auto-evolving genetech power that would make them far more dangerous than the last time she faced them. Catwoman was undeterred, and rushed to Holly's aid, preventing Hammer and Sickle from killing her using firearms to slow them down. GCPD SWAT swarmed the building, and when they saw Lenahan's head they blamed Catwoman and Holly, but before things could get out of hand GCPD had to deal with Hammer and Sickle. Catwoman told Holly to run away and not look back. Catwoman stole Blitzkrieg's power gloves, shocking Hammer, and causing him to fall out the window. Before she could catch her breath Sickle had her cornered. Her superhuman senses smelled Catwoman's baby, and Hammer, who'd recovered and fought off the GCPD, was off to Catwoman's loft to go after her daughter. Sickle taunted Catwoman about what might happen to her daughter, and vanished. Catwoman stole a police car, and raced home. Hammer had already abducted Helena, and placed Helena in the middle of the road, hoping Catwoman would run her over. Catwoman swerved, flipping the car, but escaped the wreckage, and escaped with Helena to a safehouse. Hammer and Sickle found her, and after knocking her out, dragged her back to her loft. They told her Helena would die first, and then they'd feel better about being humiliated by their past defeat at her hands. Catwoman grabbed a stashed taser and shocked Hammer, causing him to fall from her window with Helena. Catwoman rescued Helena, and Holly arrived, hitting Sickle with a firearm she'd stolen from the GCPD. Holly had already called an ambulance for Karon, who'd been knocked out by Hammer, and Catwoman told her to make herself scarce.

(Batman I #685) - Catwoman was vacationing in the Seychelles when she was approached by men who illegally sold exotic animals and purchased a clouded leopard from them. She bribed them to learn who supplied them their animals and traveled to Vietnam to confront them. She defeated the poacher’s leader sand in personal combat, taking over the group and promising to make them a worldwide power. Catwoman detested people who exploited animals and planned on freeing the exotic animals they’d collected, but needed a plan. She learned that Bruce Wayne had supposedly been spotted in Vietnam, but knew that was impossible since Wayne was M.I.A. since his confrontation with Dr. Hurt, and realized it was Hush. She ordered the poachers to kidnap hush, claiming they could collect a fortune by ransoming the wealthy Bruce Wayne. Hush was still livid that Catwoman was spending his money, and promised her that one day he would destroy her, but agreed to let her aides bring him to a riverboat to effect an escape so she could send all the poachers away from their camp in an attempt to recapture him. While the poachers were gone Sand tried to kill Catwoman, pointing a gun at her, but her clouded leopard mauled him, repaying Catwoman for saving him. Catwoman freed the exotic animals, baffled that people didn’t realize animals weren’t collectibles because they were rare and were only of value thriving in their natural environment. Catwoman’s aides revealed themselves as Nightwing and Robin, telling Hush he was coming with them back to Gotham. They couldn’t commit him to Arkham or send him to jail since he was now Bruce Wayne’s double, so they imprisoned him in a penthouse in Wayne Tower. Hush resolved to himself to act the part of the contrite prisoner until they let down their guard.

(Batman I #704) - Selina and Kitrina attended a ball at Gotham’s Diamond District, and Selina used the opportunity to pickpocket the socialites. Dick Grayson arrived at the ball, and tried to convince Selina that Kitrina would be better off without the madness of costumed adventuring. He’d had to save her life as Catgirl from the vigilante Reaper. He even offered to help her return to school, but Selina told him he should know that at some point children are too damaged to have a normal life. Selina told Kitrina to stay far away from Grayson.

(Batman I #706) - Catgirl had information about Batman’s quarry Sensei, but she refused to talk to him. Catwoman told her to answer his questions, and she’d send him packing.
