Powers: Chaka was a master combatant. As a spirit he was immune to conventional attacks, but could make his body corporal to interact with the material world.

History: (Vigilante I #7 (fb)) - 2,000 years ago a consortium of innocent spirits who were murdered joined a society to right wrongs in the material world. Their numbers included Bloody Knife, Chaka, Chastity, and Lynn, and they trained people who'd been affected by injustice to wage war on the guilty. They sought out Adrian Chase, a DA whose family had been killed by a mob boss he'd convicted. They taught him how to fight while training him to physical perfection and teaching him methods of enhanced healing. They revealed that they were a society of ghosts who'd died unavenged, and said one day Adrian would die and rejoin them as a teacher. Adrian became the Vigilante, and became a scourge of the underworld.
