Powers: Chutriel had all the powers of a demon / immortal god, and could lend his power to others to serve as his avatar El Diablo.

History: (El Diablo III #4 (fb)) - The angel Chutriel joined Lucifer's rebellion against Heaven, and was cat into Hell. He was offered a chance at redemption, but chose to stay in Hell to punish the wicked.

(El Diablo III #4 (fb)) - <circa 2000 BC> In ancient Mesopotamia Ninhursag was separated from her lover Chutu by the sky god Enlil to stop them from mating and producing a race of monsters that would end mankind.. Enlil accepted her fate, but Ninhursag swore vengeance, tormenting humanity with monsters of her own creation.

(El Diablo III #5) - Chutriel's curse powered the men of vengeance known as El Diablo. The Wild West El Diablo passed his curse to Chato Santana. In a battle with the Freedom Fighters Santana was separated from Chutriel. Ninhursag captured him, and before long she was expecting their child.
